AILET Counselling 2026 is the post-exam admission procedure conducted by NLU Delhi for shortlisted candidates based on their AILET 2026 score. The selected candidates need to pay a provisional fee of INR 50,000 by logging into their respective portals. Approximately three times the number of available seats are invited for counselling, which ensures a competitive and transparent selection process.
- Candidates who are included in the provisional seat allotment letter must confirm their seats by paying the admission fee on or before the last date.
- Candidates may access the AILET 2026 merit list on the official website.
- Those who will be granted admission during rounds 1 to 4 of AILET 2026 counseling will have the option to retract their admissions.
- The AILET counselling will be conducted online sometime in January 2026. The AILET Counselling registration fee is INR 30,000 for General and INR 20,000 for SC/ST/OBC/EW
AILET 2026 qualified candidates will be invited category-wise for the counselling registration. You will require documents like AILET admit card/scorecard, Class 10 & 12 mark sheets, ID proof, migration/transfer certificate, category/PwD/KM/J&K certificates (if applicable), and character certificate. NLU Delhi will release the first provisional merit list in December 2026. Candidates can follow the steps below to check the provisional merit list for NLU Delhi admission:

- Step 2: Click on the 'Admission' link to proceed.
- Step 3: Navigate to the 'Notifications' section, usually found on the website.
- Step 4: Within the 'Notifications' section, locate and click on the link labeled as the Provisional Merit List.
- Step 5: You can now view and download the AILET 2026 merit list from the provided link.
Note: The provisionally selected candidates are also required to download their Provisional Admission Offer Letter from their AILET 2026 account. In token of acceptance of the provisional admission offer, the candidate shall sign each page of the provisional admission offer letter and upload the same on the AILET 2026 account along with the undertaking duly signed by the candidate and parents.

AILET Counselling 2026: How to Register?
- Step 1: Viewing AILET Result 2026– The candidates shall log in to their application locker where their AILET marks shall be available.
- Step 2: Paying the Counselling Fee
- Candidates shall log in to their Application Locker, and click on Pay Counselling Fees. On the following page, they have to upload applicable documents and enter their Class 12 total percentage of marks secured.
- Then the candidate needs to click on the ‘Pay Now’ tab. The candidate will be taken to the online payment gateway and will complete the transaction for a counselling fee of INR 50,000/-.
- Step 3: Candidates selected for provisional admission will be then required to pay the balance fee of INR 89,000/- through an online payment. They shall be issued Admission Slip.
Requests for payment of fees after the last date will not be considered in any circumstance. Candidates are advised not to wait till the last minute to make payments, to avoid payment-related issues. You must wait till you see a ‘Payment Successful’ message & acknowledgment slip generated.
