Life at XIM University

Likes

I liked the infrastructure of college, vendors.
Secondly, I liked that few faculty are really supportive and great.
Third, sports is also there in college, competition is held every year

Dislikes

Mess food is the thing which I disliked.
There are a lot rules to be followed which just ends the fun of hostel Life.
Faculty those who are having language barrier.

What does student says about course

I have chosen this course .i.e. BBM as I need to grow in business sector. Faculties give us theory knowledge about the real market but they haven't taken us yet to any industrial visit for practical knowledge. Areas for improvement is the language barrier, it's the main thing that needs improvement otherwise everything is fine.. Exams are held after every 2 months.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

Arihat Private ltd has offered for summer internship for 2 months. It's an offline intership im haryana. Then there's a company called MNC which have provided with interships. Placements has also been there of reliance jio.

Yearly fees structure of the college

College fee is 76000 and hostel fee is 25000 so overall it's getting 101000 with 10000 security deposit it becomes 111000. Security deposit will be given back at time of leaving college. College provides us with placements but the stipend is really low. It also provides internships.

What does student says about college

Overall experience is good. Infrastructure is absolutely amazing, but faculty is having problem in teaching due to language barrier. There are 3 mess with vendors section. Outing is given 3 days a week.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

Hostels faculty is strict. Fine is taken on every breakage of small items. There are cameras in each floor but they can't find out who have done the damage, so they fine entire student of that building.

No eligibility is required. Form for admission are available in website of college. There are scholarship programs for students securing 90% or more. Exams are held within period of 2 months. Interview is done for admission.

i applies for bgu no i didnt get any rehection but i preffered xim it has a cutoff of 60 percent in 12th and 10th they conduct a pi before the admission they judge on academic knowledge i m very happy with my experience

Good Infrastructure and Amenities: infrastructure here is really good including all clean and hygenic classrooms, library, sports facilities and hostels
Girls to boys ratio: girls to boys ratios is pretty good here which is 40:50

I chose this college because of the college life and curriculum. Campus life is pretty good here, you will be having many fests throughout the year. The student to teacher ratio is pretty good which allows faculty to monitor every student closely I did apply to other colleges and even got selected but choose this university. Admission process is pretty simple, you can take admission thorough your he ranks if eligible or by giving a entrance test known as xest after that you have go through a interview to get selected

Dislikes

The campus is small compared to other colleges.
The college is in the outskirts hence city feels too far.
Sports was promoted but only a few like Badminton, Athletics, Football, Basketball. Cricket needs to be promoted soon.

XIM University is Universal!!

One of the most cleanest campus in the country and even though it's run by missionaries, all religions are equally valued here.
Not just Christmas but all the Hindu festivals are celebrated with same enthusiasm here.

Admission:

After passing my 12th boards, I thought of pursuing law as my career. And I found XIM University is best to fulfill my purpose. To get admission in this college, you need to have minimum 45% in aggregate from any recognised board. In alternate, they also consider CLAT, AILET scores. If you have not appeared in any of the entrance exams then you can give university's entrance exam i.e. XLET (Xavier's Law Entrance Test). If we talk about the application form availability, you can find it on their own website that is xim.edu.in . Application fees are 1300/- INR.

At first , I applied to christ university which is in Bengaluru. i gave the interview after that i was rejected from the college. then i applied to Xavier Institute of Management which is in Bhubhneswar. this college is one of the best college for students whose field is commerce. and specially for the students who want to pursue MBA in future.

College location as it is in the middle of the city. You will find everything that you need near that area.
Sports facilities are also very good. There is a different court or playing area for every sport.

Dislikes

Diversity challenges. Being from an engineering background, found it little difficult initially to adjust with the non engineering ones.
Limited seating capacity in common areas during peak hours.

Admission:

I had applied to IIM's , XLRI Jamshedpur, IMT Gazhiabad. I had been selected for IMT Gazhiabad dual country program (PGDM-DCP). I had given PI for several IIM's, got selected for IIM Sambalpur and IIM Bodhgaya also but did not go there. And the colleges I could not convert are because of the questions related to my undergraduation. I had answered all the questions related to my work experience that they had asked. Overally I had performed not upto the mark, so did not get selected. Admission process in our college is through CAT, XAT and XGMT exam. Generally cut offs for this college goes around 92 percentile for non domicile and 91 percentile for domicile students. I had scored 95.80 percentile in CAT 2023. Here my interview went very smoothly , quality questions were asked and I had also prepared well for this interview.

1. I have set my goal for career in management . I have applied for de course in SOA University in which I also got accepted but choose xim university over it because for management Xim is top notch with greater opportunities than other colleges in my city. 2.No i didn't got rejected in other colleges 3.For addmission in undergraduate level you have to simply register online then you'll be provided with interview dates. Interview is to s tough. Faculties ask simple questions based in n your past academics your hobbies your future goals. After you get shortlisted you get mail about futher registration process where you have visit college.You need documents like 10-12ry board certificate, cast certificate if you are belonging to a reservation cartegory government IDs. And after registration is done the dates for inauguration amd orientation programs are intimidated. Then class commencing dates are informed. The admission process was very smooth not problem was there. Seniors were also there to help you out.

NMAT cut-off for XIMB for the year 2020 was 200+. Section wise cut off lied between:

Quantitative Skills: 70-75
Logical Reasoning: 65-70
Language Skills: 62-65

The cut-off for the batch 2021-23 will be released in the month of April.

Since the cut off has always gone up hence, it is not possible to say whether you will get XIMB-HRM with this score. But, it is always better to stay prepared. Therefore, it is advisable to prepare for WAT and PI.

Rural management at XIMB is a decent option for students, which is even considered at par with the Indian Institute of Rural Management, Anand. There are several notions in the minds of people, which creates doubt about whether to choose Rural management or not. The points below give a clear picture of the course, addressing the benefits and the genuine outcomes of the degree.

It consists of all the subjects taught in BM and HRM, along with some extra subjects dealing with rural management.
You can go through the previous year's CAT cut-offs to decide which institute or stream is better. The cut-off for XIMB-RM is lower than HRM and BM, which makes you to remove it from your preference, which is a wrong notion. Considering your NMAT score, it seems almost impossible to get a call from XIMB-HR. Although your academics are good the entrance scores are the primary criteria for securing a seat in XIMB-HR. The exam scores can be of either- NMAT, XAT, GMAT, CAT, X-GMAT.

In recent years, the bars have been set high with higher scores every year. They need a good score in verbal along with minimum overall marks in the range of 190–200. You also need to have a good Verbal Ability score.

The candidate pool is vast for limited seats. Hence, it is quite tough to make it with this score. However, you can apply for the XIMB HR, Rural Management, or Sustainability Management through your NMAT results.

How good is HRM in XIMB for a fresher, and does one's profile matter heavily when it comes to placement in XIMB?

No, there is no separate exam for XIMB. Once you qualify XAT followed by GD and PI, you can get admission to MBA course at XIMB. However, if you haven’t appeared for XAT, then you can opt for CAT/GMAT too.

For B.Tech, you must have secured 75+ % in JEE (Main) or exceptional diploma holds seeking lateral entry to 2^nd year. The total fees will be INR 8.08 Lacs for a duration of 4 years.

The MBA program is also top notch. Candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration with at least 55% + XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/X-GMAT/NMAT Score. The total fees will be INR 20,30,000 for duration of 2 years.
