I'll start with admission process, which here is a breeze, fill the form, one interview round, and you're in. Eligibility criteria is 65+ in CAT/XAT I loved the campus, the companies that visit here are also similar to what i'm looking for, so this became my preferred choice. Other colleges which i had in my go to list were Welingkar Mumbai and Bimtech Noida. I faced rejection from Bitsom, because though they accept forms from 75 percentilers but they reject them just before interview stage.

As I study PGDM in IMI Bhubaneswar, I opted here through CMAT where I had 89.85 percentile. I applied here and then got interview call. It is a profile based college so cut off is not the only thing upon which you will be evaluated. I got PI call within a week. I had my PI . Basic questions were asked. As I am a student of English literature inwas asked about that as well. Then I had WAT where I was given a topic and I had to write immediately by sharing my screen. Within a week or so I got my call letter. Considering the brand and also residential campus I opted for it.

Increasing batch size is a problem for many B Schools these days, be it old IIMs, MDI, IMT, or IMI. An increase in batch size in turn causes increased pressure on infrastructure, placements, and overall performance of the institute. Now the problem is if all the main factors like placements and infrastructure are being affected in B Schools, what should be the other criteria to be considered? Some of them are listed below
So we can safely conclude that a high batch does not necessarily mean a problem. An old school can easily tackle this problem efficiently.
During 2016, IMI witnessed an increase in batch size from 240 to 360. This took place under the discretion of the then Director General Padma Shree Dr. Bakul Dholakia, who was responsible for affairs during that time. Throughout his tenure, IMI excelled and the NIRF Rankings and Placement Reports during that time are a testament to the same. After this, he left but his work was in progress.
Post this scenario, the corporate world was struck with demonetization, and falling banking sectors and this combined with increased batch size caused havoc and created immense pressure on the placement cell. The placement figures saw a drastic fall despite being the hub of Finance.
However, IMI Delhi stood strong in those difficult times, bore the brunt of the crisis, and managed to secure 100% placement during that batch. The only slight drawback it faced was the reduction in the number of recruiters.
The number of business development profiles like banking, IT, marketing, and consulting roles, increased miraculously.
To sum it up, the increased batch size discouraged many students and this is where the discontentment regarding soles profiles stemmed from. Still, it’s not justified to say that IMI Delhi only provided sales profiles to its students. Post-pandemic IMI Delhi has been able to rejuvenate its reputation considerably and is maintaining a healthy balance ever since
A really important piece of advice, a B School can show you the path to success but will not take you to your goal. It’s you who has to get up, work hard and follow the path.
You should be aware that the selection process of IMI Delhi is quite stringent. IMI Delhi is ranked 14th position among the top B schools in India, and its selection process is different from other top B schools. They give less weightage to your CAT score and have an extempore round as well. This round is not so difficult, but it may vary according to your profile, as they want a diverse background in their institute. They try to test your overall personality by checking your academics, team spirit, leadership, communication skills, how you react to a given situation, and many other small tests to decide whether you are eligible for their college or not.
It's important to note that every top college wants the best students to become future leaders in the corporate world, but luck also plays a role in the selection process. If your academic score is not good, but you impress them with some other talent you have, they will not deny you admission because they want diversity.
In a nutshell, most of the top 30 colleges do an overall screening before admitting students because they want the best in you. Therefore, if you want to get into a top B-school like IMI Delhi, you should work on developing your overall personality and showcasing your talents apart from good academics and a CAT score.
IMI Delhi started its 1-year full-time MBA program in 1984 and currently runs a 15-month program with 12 months of coursework on campus and 3 months dedicated to a field project. The fee structure of an Executive MBA from IMI Delhi is INR 12,00,000, including Tuition Fee, Text/Reading Material, Student Activity/Welfare, Library Fee, Lodging (single Executive AC Rooms), Boarding, Security Deposit, and Alumni- Life Membership.
You can expect to gain great value in terms of learning from the faculties and the overall MBA experience. The program is tailored for executives who have been working for 5 years or more, and it would be flexible enough for you to adapt and thrive. The institute, its management, and faculties do everything in their capacity to ensure learning is facilitated at all costs.
An integral part of the MBA experience at this level of experience and age for working executives would be the quality of life coming back to academics. If you decide to enroll, you can expect every bit of the year at IMI to be enjoyable and open new perspectives.
It is also essential for prospective participants in full-time executive MBA programs to understand that they do not always help you switch domains or industries. However, these programs are primarily designed to help mid-career executives find that leap in their career with the help of the acquired qualification and knowledge. The college supports placements, though historical evidence does not guarantee a job after the program. Whether you find your dream job/dream package out of this MBA program from campus or otherwise depends on a lot of factors like the quality of your prior work experience, prior employer, the nature of your work, and a lot of other factors.
IMI New Delhi completed 100% placements for the PGDM 2021-23 batch with an 11% hike in Average salary which has gone up to Rs.17.01 LPA, while the highest salary has gone up to Rs.50 LPA. Therefore, it is crucial to keep yourself optimistic and work hard for yourself. Work on yourself, get yourself skilled and certified, and you will do well and make that mid-career shift.
Yes, IMI Delhi is open to freshers who have recently graduated and are looking to pursue management education. It's important to know that more than 60% of the current batch at many colleges, including IMI Delhi, comprises fresh graduates from highly diverse backgrounds like Engineering, Honours in chemistry, mathematics, biology, economics, English, BBA, BArch, and more. The freshers add dynamism and vibrancy to the ecosystem and are often showcased as graduates with fresh ideas, but that is not always the case.
Peer learning groups and activities form a major chunk of your b school life. So, it is essential to find the right group of people to associate with from the beginning. Peer learning happens not only during class assignments or term projects but also during external corporate and b school competitions of which the particular group is a part.
IMI Delhi is a paradise for freshers, and the average age of the institute may be between 22–23. Therefore, if you decide to enroll, you can expect a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem with plenty of opportunities to engage in peer learning and corporate competitions.
