IIM Udaipur and IMI Delhi each have their own strengths, but I find IIM Udaipur's campus life and curriculum more appealing. While both offer solid academic structures, IIM Udaipur allows you to tailor your electives, which is great for personalizing your education. The vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and events at IIM Udaipur makes for an engaging experience, whereas IMI Delhi might not have the same level of extracurricular activities. Although placements at IIM Udaipur can be challenging, its average package is competitive compared to IMI Delhi. Personally, I'd lean towards IIM Udaipur for its dynamic environment and flexibility in curriculum, especially if you value a lively campus experience.
Both colleges offer unique advantages when considering factors like courses, faculty, opportunities, exposure, and location. IMI Delhi, positioned in the city's center, has built a strong reputation over 39 years. Its academic program is thorough, and it's known for being one of the few student-driven institutes.
With more than 25 active student groups, the college organizes a variety of activities. IMI is accredited by NBA and AICTE and is among the only 12 colleges in India with the Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation, which is highly prestigious. Major companies like Reliance Industries Limited, TATA, RPG, Adani, Shell, Deloitte, EY, and Gartner are some of the top recruiters at IMI New Delhi.

IMI Delhi is a relatively better choice, especially for pursuing a major in finance, as they have fantastic placement support. Let us have a detailed view of IMI Delhi

Indian B-Schools IMT Ghaziabad and IMI Delhi offer top MBA programs. IMT Ghaziabad specializes in marketing, while IMI Delhi emphasizes finance and banking.
Career goals and interests determine which program to choose. IMT Ghaziabad's IT program has a specialized curriculum and access to industry experts, making it a good choice for IT students. However, IMI Delhi's PGDM offers a dynamic course structure that includes all the domains of the MBA.
If you have a choice between PGDM IMI and IT from IMT, I would recommend IMI. However, if you are interested in IT, you should not consider IMI. After all, MBA is all about your preferences, which you will discover once you enroll.
Out of all these colleges, IMI Delhi seems to be the best option for a person looking to major in finance. IMT Ghaziabad has been known for its marketing for a long time and SCMHRD, as the name suggests, is an amazing institution for HR. XIMB is also a decent option for finance but IMI seems to edge it out due to the following reasons-

Consider these:
Indian B-Schools IMT Ghaziabad and IMI Delhi offer top MBA programmes. IMT Ghaziabad specialises in marketing, while IMI Delhi emphasises finance and banking.
Career goals and interests determine which programme to choose. IMT Ghaziabad's marketing programme has a specialised curriculum and access to industry experts, making it a good choice for marketing students. However, IMI Delhi's BFS programme offers finance and banking-specific training and prospects.
If you have a choice between BFS from IMI and Marketing from IMT, I would recommend IMT. However, if you are interested in finance, you should not consider IMT at all. After all, MBA is all about your preferences, which you will discover once you enrol.
Another significant distinction that clearly favours IMI BFS is the batch strength. The quality of a small batch strength remains stable.
For IMT G, there are companies coming for international placements but their numbers are limited. For IMI Delhi and Tapmi too the number is limited to 4-5 international offers being rolled out. The figures are not consistent throughout the years and there might be an increase or decrease in the number of offers year on year.
In my opinion, the best option among the given colleges is SCMHRD’s finance. I am not saying this on my own, but the data reflects the results. Let’s check the final placements for each college in the finance area.
The average package offered in the finance area at IMI Delhi is 17.64 lac per annum for the last batch. For IMT Ghaziabad, this figure is 14 LPA. XIMB is a little better than these colleges, with an average package of 20 LPA, but SCMHRD excels all of these with an average package of 22 LPA and the highest package of 27 LPA.
Doing an MBA has to be a long-term decision. While selecting your college, various parameters are considered to evaluate the institute's worth and credibility. Some of these are college faculty, industry exposure, placements, and tags. However, you have to think about long-term goals too. Doing an MBA is necessarily like investing a lot and expecting a great return in the long term if not right away.
As far as the comparison between IMI and IIM-Amritsar is considered, there aren’t many distinguishing features. Both are tier-2 b-schools with individual strengths and weaknesses. However, a distinguishing feature of IMI or IMT that sets them apart from new IIMs is their extensive alumni base. In the corporate world, connections matter a lot, and positions of authority can greatly influence your progress in your career. So in this aspect, IMI scores better than IIM.a
