IMI New Delhi offers a doctoral program FPM & EFPM courses in various disciplines. Candidates should need to clear the UGC net entrance exam with CAT or GMAT entrance exam scorecard for taking admission in EFPM course. If candidates do not have valid CAT or GMAT scores then they need to appear for the IMI Internal Test conducted by IMI. IMI New Delhi | Review

Likes

The faculty is well qualified and possess PhDs. Curriculum is updated with industry requirements.

Dislikes

Fees is on higher side and hostel facilities is not available for everyone. Also, campus size is very small.

Admission:

The admissions process for IMI New Delhi for the class of 2024 included only a Personal Interview round, followed by an Extempore topic. IMI New Delhi accepts both CAT as well as XAT score with cutoffs typically ranging between 85%ile to 95%ile. To apply you need to first fill out the admissions form from the official website of the college. The form generally opens in September before the CAT exam for cycle 1, and usually opens again in January just after the CAT results for cycle 2. Fees for the admission form for IMI New Delhi's PGDM programme is typically around 2600.

My journey so far at IMI, New Delhi.

Likes

Networking opportunity at the B-Schools has to be the best thing out of all
Learning experience was a big plus at IMI as the faculties over here are really good and very experienced.
Although the campus is small but the events which are held throughout the year makes it very well alive and be it dj nights, various other fun activities

Dislikes

Hostel room sizes are too small as compared to the price.
Campus in and out timings for day scholars as well as hostel is not good I suppose.

Admission:

Eligibility of the course is that one has to clear the XAT/CAT exam to be considered. I cleared the XAT exam post that I received a call for an interview process and extempore. The application form for admission can be accessible directly through the website itself. All the other details including application fees and dates are mentioned there which varies yearly. In the admission process, maybe a bit more transparency in the process of waitlist criteria can be made so that a student gets to know his/her position regularly as the waitlist moves. It can be a better option as he/she can predict whether to wait for the same or not.

Placements opportunities are immense that too with many reputable brands.
Faculties are very good and they excel at their job.

Dislikes

Campus size is very small and there are not many things to do in your free time
Hostel facilities is not available for everyone and also the room size is very small.

Admission:

Admission Process of IMI, New Delhi consists of having minimum 50% in your undergrad & the undergrad must entail to the minimum of 3 years education after completing 12th class. I took CAT exam for getting selected in IMI. Application process consists of filling application form and the cutoff is around 80-85 percentile for IMI

Placements are good and good opportunities are provided.
Campus life is good and due to location there are ample places to visit during breaks.

Admission:

I got admitted in IMI Delhi through CAT examination. Post clearing the cutoff, I filled the application form for IMI which can be accessed from their official website by creating a profile. After submitting the application I received a call for interview (online). On clearing the interview, I received the offer of admission from the college. The admission process is rigourous and the difficulty of the interview was above average.

The shortlist was based on profile. I was shortlisted based on the CAT percentile along with my past academic record. The cutoff varies every year based on the registrations and profiles received. After the shortlist I sat for an interview which also included an extempore and converted IMI. There is no reservation.

The fee structure is high when compared to other colleges in the same tier.

I had appeared for the CAT exam which was conducted in 2021. Prior to applying for the college, I had checked the previous years CAT percentile cutoff for IMI New Delhi and had filled out the application form after getting my CAT score. The college looks mostly at CAT and XAT scores. In addition to academic achievements, applicants must fill out a detailed application form that explores many facets of their background.Interview candidates are chosen based on an assessment of their entire profile. The interview lasts for 20-30 minutes. Currently, the application fee is Rs2200+18%GST. The admissions process is merit-based. Throughout the application process, candidates can always get in touch with the admissions committee regarding any queries.

Likes

Faculties excel in their instructional abilities. They are supportive and approachable.
More than 100 companies visit the campus to hire the students for internship and placements
The quality of students is very good, they provide good competition which motivates everyone to work harder

Dislikes

Area of the college is very small. There is not enough space for sport facilities and whole batch does not get the chance to live in hostel
Fees is quite high comparing to the peer colleges. It cost around 26 Lakhs inclusive of hostel and academic

Admission:

IMI Delhi will shortlist on the basis of your profile which include experience, marks in 10th, 12th and graduation ,diversity and CAT/XAT scores. Students will get interview call accordingly.The admission process does not include GD or WAT like other colleges. Instead, candidates are directly shortlisted for the interview which iclude extempore round. Interviewer will give a random topic and candidate will have to talk about it for some minutes.For this candidates should be well prepared about basics of their graduation and general awareness.

The admission process involved filling application on website and rest was communicated through email. interview process involved a PI in which i was asked questions about current affairs, some finance and basic hr questions. A topic on metaverse was given as an extempore.

How much percentile is needed for IMI Delhi?

When it comes to cut-offs, IMI Delhi assesses you as a whole, so they set no specific cut-off. Having a high CAT percentile and low academic scores might not guarantee your admission while having a relatively lower CAT percentile and decent profile might make you eligible. However, your presentation and performance during the selection process also play a crucial role.

In terms of cut-off, it's important to note that IMI Delhi may keep them moderate during the shortlisting process, provided that other dimensions of your student quality are very good. Make sure you focus on building a well-rounded profile and showcasing your strengths during the selection process.

I got only 59.61 percentile in DILR. But in English and maths I got 97 and 88 respectively, overall 90.71. Will I get calls from IMI Delhi and XIMB?

If you have an aggregate percentile of above 90%, you can go with IMI Delhi as the marks are not evaluated subject-wise. However at XIMB, they have mentioned that they will have a sectional cut-off, but you are above 50% in all the sections.

But before you choose any of the institutes, you should ask yourself, if you put enough effort into quants and DILR while preparing. If the answer is no. Then, it will be better to prepare for another year and aim for a better score.

If you put in the hard work now, you can get into a much better B-School like IIMs, SPJ, etc. A better school means more academic pressure, but in the end, you will end up with a better CTC and a reputed company. In corporate life, pressure is not available, so why not aim to do it with a better salary?

If you put in 18 hours of work for 6-7 months, your percentile will definitely improve. And if staying motivated is a challenge for you, you can get a mentor who will push you to do better.

So, although IMI and XIMB are pretty good options, it will be better if you try to better your percentile.

IMI Delhi CAT Cutoff is expected to be 88 percentile for PGDM and 85 percentile for PGDHRM and PGDM (BFS) courses. Admission to the courses will be based on the performance in CAT/XAT. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Graduation degree holder in any subject will be eligible for admission to the course.
