climate here will be good in winter and rainy seasons
the faculty here are professionals in what they teach

Dislikes

There is lot of unused space which can be used efficiently
Fests will be less funded but we can enjoy

for sc and income below 5 lakhs the fee is 13000 and for above 5 lakhs the fee is 18500 and for general categerey the fee is 83720 we can also opt for loan payment and mess fee will be different but hostel fee is included in this

Life at IIITDMJ

First sem subjects are easy except one which is Engineering mechanics where the class average is very less like around 3 4 out of 20.
The campus is outside city so it is always calm and silent here

Dislikes

Their is a little bit of hierarchy culture in college. First year have to wish every senior and follow some rules.
The college strictly follow the 75 percent attendance criteria.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The total fees for 1 year is 210500 for general category student. This contains 71750 tution fee , 11000 hostel fees ,7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. And for SC/St/PWD Students the total fees is 67000 for 1 year which include 11000 hostel fees, 7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. In the first sem we have pay extra 15500 as one time admission fee which is applicable for all categories. As our college is a government college it provides almost the scholarship provided by the government.

Yearly fees is 190000 including hostel fees and for mess, seperate fees of 3200 should be paid to avail mess services. This fees is very less when compared to many other institutes and also provides scholarship for eligible students

faculty is very good and their teaching is next level
college environment is simply superb and very peaceful

Wifi issues as it is forest area we dont get signals
no safety, any time any animal may come from any side

The campus is huge and very beautiful. Greenery is all around and you can enjoy completely
The crowd over is plus point here. Most of the students are talented in some way.

Dislikes

Placements are average compared to other NITS, and opportunities are less
The faculty is also okayis, they have knowledge and published many papers but poor in teaching

Fees is usually for one semester and every year there are two semesters. Tution fee details category wise: General/OBC/EWS : 67,220 others: 0 Mess fees(For all):15,000 Hostel fees:(11,000) one time fees: 15000 And coming to scholorships: 1) Merit cum means scolorship: Tution fee will be reiumbersed + 12000 rupees as pocket money for whole year Usually fees vary for the year you joined. If there is x amount of fee while you joining then it will be same for all semesters. So fees incease slightly ,arounf 5000 fir every new batch

The year wise fees including hostel and mess charges are Rs. 195440. This feels is for General, OBC and Gen-EWS category students. The year wise fees for SC/ST are ?36000. The fees is increasing with the admission of new batch. Scholarships such as NSP and MCM are available for the students.

Canteens available inside the hostel closes at 12 am , it should be opened for atleast 3am

Let's talk about tution fees first, it increase year by year for a batch, when I got admission it was 71500 so it will remain at 71500 for the rest of the college. For news batches it changes, the complete cost of my education will be around 8.5 lakhs. They offer many scholarships based on your income and your academic performance, which grants you a fee waiver for an entire year.

A good and genuine and also personal experience about IIITDMJ

I really love the campus life and more like the interaction between the seniors and juniors. they really help me well after some time when i needed some guidance.and also if we see at the nature and the weather there, that is good for me personally.
when the fact comes to faculty, i really feel so good about the things how they explain and also the way they react at you and they also help you either it is academically or non-academically, of course most of them use PPT presentation to explain

Dislikes

about the infrastructure the lecture hall and tutorial complex where all the lectures and exams go on is average. when it comes to speed of ethernet we get in the hostels is very poor as it is not sufficient for a student like me with more work.
coming to mess, i feel the college mess is average because me being a person from the southern state i cant eat the rice there due to its poor quality and also the curry they make it is really tasteless or non-spicy for me personally.

firstly the semester fee would be 210500 including tution fee and hostel fee and also the mess fee. now they will be charge an extra amount at the starting of your semester one like admission fee and other some and they may be upto 15000 and it is one time payable and we also have many scholarships from college, state government and also the central government. for the college we have merit cum means scholarship and it will given on the basis of jee main rank for first year and based on cgpa for other years and for ST and SC we have other scholarships.

Likes

The teachers are very polite and good. They interract with the students in a very good manner
The sports facilities also very good. There are many game are played in the campus for example cricket, kabaddi,bolleyball, etc

Dislikes

The campus is in out of the city which is a major drawback
The quality of food is not good in the campus’s mess

The institute peovides the st/sc scholarship, the st/sc and pwd students are exempted to pay the tuition fees and there is also a relaxation in hostel seat rent for thse whose parental annual income is less than 2 lacs.

One of my friends who studied at IIITDM Jabalpur received the scholarship and has shared his experience with me.

Scholarship Details

As per the AICTE guidelines, every GATE-qualified student taking admission in M. Tech. program will get a PG Scholarship of INR 12400 per month as a research stipend.
The tenure of this scholarship is for 24 months or for the duration of the course, whichever is lower.
Every PG student availing of this scholarship needs to compulsorily undertake 8-10 hours/per week of work.
This work is related to teaching or research activities assigned to him/her by IIITDM.

For availing of this scholarship, you need to have a valid GATE score.

Where can I apply for IIITDM scholarships?

There are no scholarships provided by the IITDM Jabalpur. However, there is a fee waiver for the SC/ST students. The SC/ST students are exempted from the payment of the tuition fee. Also, the students who belong to the SC/ST category and whose parents' income is less than 200,000 will be exempted from hostel fees and hostel establishment charges. For the general and OBC categories you can avail the benefits of scholarships offered by the various government schemes at the state or national level like NSP, MCM, etc. You can apply for this scholarship from the official website NSP/MCM portals.
