My journey through Engineering and Campus Life

Likes

There are plenty of opportunities for coding, there are many different clubs , cultural clubs and sports clubs that keep college life engaging.
The faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to guide students academically.
The campus is very large spread in more than 200 acres, green, peaceful and well maintained.

Dislikes

Internet speed in hostels is a bit slow at the time of rainy season.

i got admission to IIITDM Jabalpur through JEE Mains via JOSAA, based on my percentile in jee mains. I preferred this college over others because of its great placement statistics, excellent faculty and campus environment, which aligned perfectly with my academic and career interests. Also it has various clubs which encourage us not only in studies but also in other activities, also there are clubs related to studies and industry based projects.

My College Experience

Likes

The college is surrounded by natural beauty all around
The Lecture halls are good. Attendence scene is fine
I feel like the food shops available around the college provide good food at reasonable prices

Dislikes

The placements are just very bad and not upto the mark and also there is just no efforts being made by the Placement Officer whoever gets placed gets placed in their own
Some faculties are hard to deal with like the most.
Most of the people I found there had bad habits of smoking and all in my hostel like the students and the warden was comfortable with it

Admission:

I chose this college and I regret this till today I saw the placement reports of the college and in report it was just very nice stats so I chose the college but when I got to college I got to know the real truth. My honest advise do not join the college if you are looking to get a decent placement

All about iiitdm jabalpur!

Likes

College surrounding is very beautiful specially greenery and freshness
Food is better than other college mess and clean also
Quality of connectivity is good, lan connection is good, overall hostel is good

Dislikes

Fest is very less in this college and college life is not that great
Deadly snakes roam around in the campus although we are use to them but it's dangerous
Some professors and not that good and don't give good grades

Admission:

The college I was interested at the starting was nit bhopal which was close to my place of living but the branch I was getting was not of my interest so choose this college over other and I think that was a good decision, you will alloted this college through josaa or csab and then you will receive a date for college visit and further processes.

my college experience is enriching, with a well-structured curriculum , knowledgeable faculty, and hands-on learing opportunities .
the vibrant campus life , active student clubs.
supportive peers made social interactions enjoyable

Dislikes

the administrative processes were sometimes slow and inefficirnt
some courses felt outdated and lacked practical applications
additionally, campus amenities like wifi and hostel facilites needed better maintenanv=ce and upgrades

Life at IIITDM Jabalpur: Placements, Campus Experience, Hostels & Internship Opportunities

Likes

I liked the campus environment. The greenery of the campus .Also the teaching of some of thr faculty.
The placements are good here.The class rooms are also very nice.
One more thing that it is far away from the city so no pollution at all.

Dislikes

There will be a lot of pressure on students.
Sometimes some of the professors too arrogant and dont understand students.
The wifi in the hostels does not work at alll.

Admission:

I mainly focussed on the placements.To get admission in this college you need to give jee mains and should earn a very good percentile. In my rank range this is the college that has a very good placements and also as i am looking for cse branch

The most important aspect of college is that it is located in heart of India and students from all parts come here making a blend of all Indian cultures , I made a lot of friends and spent a lot of memorable time with them .
The college has very friendly environment and ragging free campus , all the senior are very helpful and even professors are often delighted to talk with students about their skills and professional development.
The college is one of the 5 central govt funded IIITS of India so it has an affordable fees structure compared to other IIITS and IITS , and an excellent placement activities.

Dislikes

The college is located in very remote location at least 10 km away from the Jabalpur city , making it difficult to travel .Literally the delivery cost of Zomato was often high than the price of food itself.
The college also suffer with limited campus infrastructure ,inconsistent internet services and less exposure to extracurricular activities compared to other institutes.
The weather is extreme in summer days its nearly feel impossible to go to mess from hostel in scorching heat while in winter temperature gets down to 6 degree in morning.

Admission:

This college was best at 56k rank jee mains also it has advantage of low fees over other colleges . I was also getting CSE in lower IIITS and civil in NITS still i choosed this college because of its extensive research and development fundings and a chance of learning new technologies .

Life as a Student of IIITDM Jabalpur

Likes

Research based projects are given to students of 2nd and 3rd year where we can work whole year on it and we will get credit according to it
Cultural groups like Aavartan for Dance, Saaz for Music, Samvaad for literature, APS for astronomy and physics society are very active here and take sessions almost every week, and also they go to National Programs and are top performers till now.
They use Smart board present in every class, and regular Lab sessions on Coding, 3D modelling, Design Studio is also here in our campus

Dislikes

Too much pressure to students given by professors, sometimes they dont even bother our need when we ask them
Less facility in hostel with respect to LAN(Wifi),Furniture
Mess quality is really below average like few students also got suffered by eating mess food

I wanted a National college which should be government, according to my rank in JEE Mains I was getting other Nits and iiits and also some state government colleges but i preferred this because it is in my home city jabalpur No i didn't got any rejections i applied to because this college was my fiest priority and according to my interest. According to your JEE mains rank when you are selected in this college by Jossa/Csab counselling Online physical reporting is done first then within 10-15 days you have to physically report to the college, after it you are alloted your respective hostel to live and from next week classes get started My overall admission experience was really very good, it was my dream college You have to achieve rank under 1.5 lakhs to get admission here if you are from obc category For general category you have to achieve rank under 70000 to come here For sc/st candidates you have to achieve rank under 2 lakhs to come to this college as per previous year cutoff

Likes

Green and pollution free environment.Big campus.
Faculties are experienced and quite knowledgeable
Infrastructure is above average.Hostels have sufficient amenities

Dislikes

Strict Attendance scenario.Need to be somewhat regular.

Admission:

I chose it because of it's beautiful campus,a better alumini experience,placement capabilities and a freedom to pursue the branch you like.Also,it has an affordable fee structure and a nice,simple and peaceful campus and city.

Likes

The infrastructure is good in this college.
The campus of overall experience is good.
All faculty are friendly and understand our problem properly.

Dislikes

club culture are bad i think, there is based on state.
Food are also not my like type, maybe other are like this.
hostel facilities are bad, there are always remain some issue

In this college specifically for the CSE and ECE department they have chance to get a good placement offer from some good company. and there is no specific reason to choose this college. and i will say other some factor are also good.

IIITDM Jabalpur inside view from a 3rd year student

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is very nice. The classrooms and all are very good.
Sports facilites are very good. Sports like cricket, badminton, football are present in the campus.
Teaching quality of faculties is very nice and all the labs are well equipped.

Dislikes

The pressure of academics is very high in the college.
The location of college is very far from main city.
proper non veg food is not available inside the campus

Admission:

During my JEE time I had not got very good ranks so according to my rank this college was best. my college has good sports, infrastructure and placements for that I opt for this college. the admission process is through JOSSA Counselling.
