A detailed review of of IIITDM jabalpur by Manish Chandolu

The couse curriculum is good overall but it lacks in terms of practical knnowledge. Theoretich wise it is good but when it to comes to apply in real life situations ,the curriculum fails here. But it is same with almost all the engineering colleges in india. Ans also 75 percent attendance policy is worst thing.

There are only few companies like UI path, cultfit and paypal which came to college for interships and only around 10 students got on campus intern. There were other studetns who bagged internship opportunities from offcampus too.

Students are allowed to go on summer internships from second year itself. Coming to winter inters, students are allowed to go from 7th semester fo intern and their credits will be grnated for internship. On campus placements are decent . Highest package is around 87lpa this year. Average package is around 20 lpa. But number of students placed is low

Fees is usually for one semester and every year there are two semesters. Tution fee details category wise: General/OBC/EWS : 67,220 others: 0 Mess fees(For all):15,000 Hostel fees:(11,000) one time fees: 15000 And coming to scholorships: 1) Merit cum means scolorship: Tution fee will be reiumbersed + 12000 rupees as pocket money for whole year Usually fees vary for the year you joined. If there is x amount of fee while you joining then it will be same for all semesters. So fees incease slightly ,arounf 5000 fir every new batch

In initial days, i felt campus is too big and got tired easily roaming around. But after some days, you will feel campus is very small and there are much more things to explore . The campus is beautiful in rainy season. There is greenery on all sides. I found all sorts of clubs of all art forms, tefchnical clubs, sport clubs but the sport facilities are poor. Coming to fests it far worst. There was no single fest in entire my Btech life.

There are total 6 hostels. Seperate hostels for each year and girls and PG studetns. The mess is only one and quality of food is poor. You will get bored really easily. And there is no option to stay outside the campus .Hostels are pretty good. You will be given table ,chairm bed, cubboard ,hangers

Indian Institute of Information Technology jabalpur is one of the oldes IIIT's and is better than most of the older NIT's and IIIT's and with some IIT's too. The best thing about the institute is the crowd and their talent. You will find some really bright minds over here. For my rank i was getting IIIT kancheepuram but i choose this in terms of overall exposure and opportunites

Faculties in core branches like Computer science and engineering ,electroncis and communication engineering ,mechanical engineering adn smart marufacturing are more experienced and have deep passion in the domains they work and teach. Students complain they are strict with syllabus and grading but they are strict because ony 2 to 3 percent of students enrolled in these courses are genuinely interested in those disciplines.
