Medi Caps University, Indore, was established in 2000. It is approved by the UGC, AICTE, and PIC. Step 1- Registration Sign-in Page Medicaps Portal

Click on the New Registration link to sign up for Medicaps-2025. No fee is required for registration.
Applicants need to fill up their basic details along with the courses/programs they wish to pursue. This can be changed later during the online application, as per requirements.
After successful registration, login details and application number will be sent to the candidate's email ID.
Applicants can change their password once they log in successfully.
Applicants must make sure all the details are entered correctly before submitting.

Step 2- Online Application

In the sign-in page of Medicaps, enter your Username and Password and press submit.
Enter your details.
Enter the details of your academic background to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates need to fill in the details to verify the results online.
Please make sure the results are available to you before applying. If your results are not yet announced, click on the check box that appears on your screen.
Then, enter the entrance examination details.
Select the courses and programs, and specialization.
Multiple choices in a defined order can be selected as the priority of the applicant.
Self-attested photocopies of mandatory documents need to be uploaded.
After agreeing to the rules and regulations, the candidate can proceed further for payment.
A payment of Rs. 1580/- is to be made via Online Payment Gateways or UPI.
It will generate the receipt of the above application form with filled details, along with the rules of admission and the application fees policies.

Phase 3-Online Counselling (Merit Basis Seat Allotment) and Reporting

The candidate can view his/her allotment according to applied preferences and cut-off marks decided by the University and take a print.
After confirming allotment, the applicant can proceed with fee payments and other details. It contains a fee refund policy and cancellation policy of the university.
If not satisfied with their allotment, the candidate can forward their form to the next round. The re-counselling form fee is Rs 500.
The applicant with nil allotment will not be charged any fee for the next round of counselling.
The applicant eager to take admission in the allotted branches can go ahead and check the reporting procedure. The details of document verification and semester fee payment at the university premises on or before the assigned dates are included.
The seats will be treated as vacant if the candidate fails to report during the assigned tenure.

Library: The Central Library has an area of about 35000 sq. ft. The Central library is stocked with over 1,00,000 books, magazines, reference articles, archives, encyclopedic collections, and more than 1200 national and international journals.

Likes

The placements and internships offerings is really one of the best in central India.
The campus life and the vibe in the campus environment is totally worth it and it is beautiful. The college and infrastructure is also commendable.
Some of the faculties are very helpful with the students and give proper guidance. They also make extra efforts to make the college life beautiful.

Dislikes

Most of the faculties are arrogant and rude with the students. They make the tasks pending and put extra efforts on students. Faculties are also less knowledgeable and dishonest with teaching. It is a very common practice going on in the University.
Lack of facilities like fast internet access and lack of mobile tower is a major problem. Also, power cut and electricity issues are common.
The fests and cultural activities are very limited in the college. Tests also form an important aspect of college life. The college management should take this into account.

What are the various companies visiting for placements and packages being offered to students?

The placement rate is the most advantageous as the University claims hundred percent placements. It is not fully true. Almost all the students get placed in well-known companies. Students are eligible for campus placements in the seventh semester. A lot of companies visit the college including big giants like Capegemini, TCS, Cisco, Hexaware, etc. Startups also offer placements in the University. The highest package was given b y Cisco at 18 LPA and thebaverage packages are of 4 LPA. For the students who were not able to get placed, the Univerity provides a list of off-campus companies for their Internship experience and later full-time jobs. So, the Training and Placement Cell works actively to bring out the best of the placements in the college. I secured my placement at Bacancy Software at a package of 5.5 LPA in Hyderabad. So, students are satisfied with the placement rates and a very few students do not get the jobs. For them, college makes extra efforts to bring good opportunity.

Internship opportunities provided by the college

An internship is an essential requirement in the seventh semester. For this, the college offers in-house training and intership opportunities. I took my internship at CISCO as a networking engineer. It was provided by the college. However, all the in-house trainings and internships do not provide stipends. The other in-house internships were in AWS, Palo-Alto, Blueprism and AI/ML technologies provided by University itself. The University also helps the students to grab off-campus internship oppportunities through letter of recommendation. Worthy students also carried out off-campus internships at big tech giants like Apple and Amazon also at stipends of one lakh per month. These internships and training experiences are required for a subject called Project Work-I in seventh semester. Students also build their own projects and applications by utilising the engineering knowledge they gained during the course of three years. Some of the faculties are also very willing to help them.

College events, various clubs and facilities available in campus

The University is poor in fests and programmes. There is only one annual day program called the Moonstone which is commenced once a year for three days. The other fests and programs are very limited. Some of them are for only hostelites and only members of a special club. The library is rich in all the books and stuff. It is a three storey building and there is zero complaints for the college library. The campus and the college infrastructure is also well developed and feels worth. Though there are little complaints on the facilities like poor internet availability and electricity issues in the labs and classes. However, the computer labs and classes are sufficient and enough for every student to learn. There are sports clubs, entreprener clubs, cultural clubs for extra-curricular activities but they are not known much because there are limited interactions within the clubs. So, the social life of students is fair in the campus due to limited co-curricular activites and fields.

What is the fees associated with the course and various scholarships available in the college?

The total tuition fee was under five lakh rupees. It is average fee as almost every good engineering colleges charge atleast this much amount. Since, Medi-Caps Univerisity is good for placements and jobs, this amount is justified well. The other necessary charges include exam fees, service fees and hostel charges also. I was a day scholar at the University. The scholarships and financial aids include the general government scholarship programmes like the Medhavi scholarships or the mpportal scholarships for the special castes. There are only private scholarship options left for the general caste like the Cummins scholarship. Their forms get forwarded in the first year itself. There is no as such financial aid programmes provided by the University itself. The placements after the four years are commendable and justify the money completely. The big tech giants like Cisco, TCS and Capegemini hire students and offer good packages. The average packages offered by other companies is 4 LPA.

Students view on course structure and syllabus being covered

The course curriculum is relevant enough and covers all the topics and important aspects of Computer Science Engineering. It is a private and self-certified college and is widely known for the Computer Science branches. I chose CSE branch because I always wanted to be a software engineer as I loved to code and solve complex computer programming problems. It included main computer engineering subjects like Computer Systems Arhitecture, Data Structures and Desgining of Algorithms. Also, I developed an interest in Machine Learning and AI. So the course curriculum helped well. There is no complaints in the courses and their curriculum. However, the faculty and staff members are avaerage to teach these subjects. They have lack of knowledge and practical experience. So students, themselves have to learn on their own.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

I took admission in Medi-Caps University in 2020. During the admission time, there was Covid-19 pandemic and at that time, I had the relaxation to directly take the admission in the college. There were no extrance exams to get direct admission. However, admission was seeked directly into the college on the basis of school academics and the board exams result. In order to get the admission into Computer Science Engineering stream, the eligibility criteria was kept simple. Students can seek the admission if they have their pass certificates in the board exams. There was no as such percentile criteria for JEE exam also. The application form was available in the college and they charged about 2000 rupees for the form. So, the admission process was kept simple. At present, there are a lot of students already availed in the courses and that causes the early fulfillment of seats. Also, the seats are increased as triple the previous number. So, admission process is a bit tough.

Likes

Infrastructure was good, the buildings and labs were well equipped
Facilities provided were enough for a college student
Library was vast and detailed wit a good environment

Dislikes

There were some unnecessary rules which were to be followed
Coming in formals was an headache and unnecessary as per my opinion

Admission:

I belong to Indore and I got admissions in colleges of South India like SRM chennai and VIT Vellore, Since it is one of the most renowned private university in Central India I preferred this college as compared to others
