Having friends studying at both the institutions, I can say that both the colleges IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITM Gwalior are good. It will be a difficult choice to select one among them. Both the colleges have a good reputation and provide their students with good Infrastructure, faculties, culture, and placements. Here’s discussing some facts about them which might guide you. IT (Integrated) at IIITM Gwalior: If you want to go for higher education then it will take you 1 year less. You can pursue M.Tech again after the dual degree from IITs, but not many do that, they go for Ph.D. instead. IIITM Gwalior definitely has a better coding culture and alumni network than IIITDM Jabalpur. If you think that IT is a lower level compared to CSE then think twice. Placement wise both are at par. There may be a bit of difference between the two in the course content but you can nullify it by self-studying. You will get to sharpen your skills and work on more projects, learn more things in the one extra year. It never goes to waste. CSE at IIITDM Jabalpur: I would suggest you opt for it if you want to go into the workforce right after graduation and don’t want to spend one extra year. The year wise tution fees is 79,250 for each semester from my first year. So a total of Rs.158500 . And compuslory one time fees of Rs.15000, which includes registration, gymkhana and all other kind of fees. Apart from that the hostel charges Rs.22000 per year and the mess fees is around 25k-30k per year. From second year , i only have to pay tution , mess and hostel fees. Everyone should stay in hostel and availing mess is their option from 2nd year. For first year it's compulsory. Students from SC and ST categories do not have to pay any tution or college fees at all, which really reduces there financial burden. They only contribute towards the hostel and mess facilities, since they are compulsory for everyone who avails them. And my batchmates who are from Madhya Pradesh who are eligible for state government scholarship will get the amount of tution fees. They also need to pay only the mess and hostel facilities. Apart from that merit-cum-need scholarships are available in the college that support students who perform well academically and struggling financially. Overall the yearly fees is affordable and the person who can't pay are able to pay their fees with the help of scholarships

All about iiitdm jabalpur!

The year wise fees is around 200000 but since I'm sc student there is no tution fees for me Caution money , lab fees, development fees and other charges all together cost me around 17500 per semester for general/obc the fees will be around 200000 including everything and for St it is same as Sc, multiple scholarship are available as per category and merit.

In first year it was nearly 82000 per sem but after the fee decreased to 72720 per sem.Our college also offers scholarship for those students who belong to minority.For minority they will be paying fee only for their food.

The yearly fee of IIITDMJ is 180500 including hostel fees but in 1st sem the fee is 105750 (because of addmission fee). As I'm 1st year student I don't know much but the fee is same as last year. This is for computer science and engineering course.

The fees are roughly 2 lakhs per year or 1 lakh per semester . For sc ,st,ews categories the fees are reduced. Education loan can also be availed using admission documents . Many scholarships are also available for students with certain income criteria.

Life at IIITDMJ

First sem subjects are easy except one which is Engineering mechanics where the class average is very less like around 3 4 out of 20.

Dislikes

The college strictly follow the 75 percent attendance criteria.

The total fees for 1 year is 210500 for general category student. This contains 71750 tution fee , 11000 hostel fees ,7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. And for SC/St/PWD Students the total fees is 67000 for 1 year which include 11000 hostel fees, 7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. In the first sem we have pay extra 15500 as one time admission fee which is applicable for all categories. As our college is a government college it provides almost the scholarship provided by the government.
