Placement Experience:

From 2 year onwards student starts getting offers for internships. Further companies visits our campus for jobs such as myntra, nvidia, infosys, accentures etc last year highest placement was approx 1 cr which was international and off campus and average package was around 18 lakhs both on and off campus. Over 80% of students got placed, my plans after degree is grabbing a good package.

Placement Experience:

Our college has demonstrated a strong placement record in recent years. In the 2023 placement season, the highest package offered was ?82 lakh per annum (LPA), with undergraduate students receiving an average package of ?21.63 LPA and postgraduate students averaging ?13 LPA. The 2024 placement season saw further improvement, with the highest international package reaching ?122 LPA and the highest domestic package at ?110 LPA. A total of 284 job offers were made, including three international positions. The average salary for M.Tech students stood at ?12.54 LPA.Prominent recruiters such as Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, and Cognizant have participated in the institute's placement drives. Additionally, students have secured project-based internships with organizations like CISCO, HackerEarth, Amazon, American Express, Hero Motocorp, IBM, ISRO, and others

The college is one of the 5 central govt funded IIITS of India so it has an affordable fees structure compared to other IIITS and IITS , and an excellent placement activities.

Placement Experience:

The coleege placement activities were excellent when we came in 2022 almost 80 to 90 % of students got placed with highest being 110 lpa to avg at 21 lpa . The CSE and ECE branches get more oppurtunities compared to mechanical and smart manufacturing students . The main recruiters were Deloitte, Accenture, Flipkart, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, Adobe, IBM etc. However after the recession in 2023 the placed activities have degraded to some extent.

Placement scenario is good if you check the college website.Companies visiting the college is around 100 every year(+-30 percent).Recession did have some effect but it's getting better.My discipline has somewhat average placements.So,if you want to pursue GATE or M.B.A,begin it by the end of 3rd year or so for better ranks.Higher studies is always an option and seniors/alumni have cracked competitive exams.So,it's not like there's no career options ahead.

Placement Experience:

The placemets of IIITDMJ are very good. Students are eligible from 5th semester onwards for on campus placements. Comanies like meesho, Samsung etc had visited our campus this semester. The highest package was of 41 lpa. Around 80% students have been placed from 2021 batch uptil now.

The placement of college is good, average package was 19.27 LPA last year. Highest package was also good but students have to work hard for that because the offer provided by companies are less than number of students. How good are IIIT Kota and IIIT Jabalpur in terms of placement and education?

IIIT Kota is very new and is yet to make a mark with respect to IIIT Jabalpur. Whereas, with IIIT-Jabalpur the placements do keep varying. More or less, the placements are improving.

Academics:

IIIT Jabalpur has a very sound academic curriculum owing to the fact that IIT Kanpur was its mentor.
In IIIT Kota the curriculum is good but it hardly matters when you have teachers with hardly any knowledge.
The interdisciplinary curriculum in IIIT Jabalpur makes the academic bit steadfast with the add-on of designing structure.
Moreover, academic projects are floated in almost every important course.
Hence, adding a skill set to the students.

So, to put it together, the academics are nice, but placements can be improved. Being from IIIT gives you a special charm. Also, being new IIITs, they will take some time to establish themselves and the education factor is quite decent when compared to tier-2 private engineering colleges. But, they still have a long way to go reach the bar set by NITs or IITs.

The top bracket companies pay really well, but these new IIITs won't be the first choice for these companies. The mid-range paying companies will flock to these new IIITs; so, you will get a decent package.

So overall, it is better to have something than nothing.

Which has better infrastructure and placements, IIITM Gwalior or IIIDTM Jabalpur?

IIITM Gwalior is a much better choice than IIITDM Jabalpur. IIITM Gwalior will be a great choice if the rank of students is around 11k and they are into the IT branch.

It has a very beautiful green and pollution-free campus. The campus is environment friendly with no pollution-causing vehicles to move across the campus.
The infrastructure is quite good as per the total number of students enrolled.
The campus includes centralized AC lecture halls, an open-air theatre, and a large sports complex for the students. The institute has all provision for sports from lawn tennis to swimming.

Coming on to the placement scenarios, this year the placements have been amazing at IIITM Gwalior:

Two students were placed in Worksop with packages around INR 40 LPA.
Four students got an offer in Amazon with packages around INR 27.5 LPA.
The highest package offered by Directi was INR 27.5 LPA.
Other reputed companies that visited the campus for placement drives were Samsung, TCS, Paytm, Acxiom, American Express, IBM, etc.
