Life at IIITDMJ

I chose this course because I was interested in coding. Our college provide decent coding college but the professors don't teach very well but we have a programming club (TPC) which conducts it's session and teach us competitive coding. If you learn coding you have to do it yourself.

The total fees for 1 year is 210500 for general category student. This contains 71750 tution fee , 11000 hostel fees ,7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. And for SC/St/PWD Students the total fees is 67000 for 1 year which include 11000 hostel fees, 7500 semester fee and 15000 mess fee for one semester. In the first sem we have pay extra 15500 as one time admission fee which is applicable for all categories. As our college is a government college it provides almost the scholarship provided by the government.

Our campus has a lot of clubs. The are three types cultural,sports and technical. The clubs are very active as well . Every week we have different program or sport competition here . In 2 month I here here I participated I 2 volleyball tournament.We have one library in our campus but it's not so big it's only consist of one floor. The lecture halls are equipped with projectors, speakers and ACs facilities.

All the students taking admission here must take hostel. No one is allowed to stay outside campus. The hostel are just like any other government hostel. Every 4 rooms have to share 1 common bathroom. Their are 7-8 hostel here every year boys have different hostel but all four year girls stay in same hostel. Every hostel is equipped with canteen which provides everything you need.We also have a badminton court in our hostel.

I am from Himachal so I applied in Nit Hamirpur in computer science and engineering but I couldn't get in so I choose cse in this college because it is a IIIT so it's is more inclined toward coding and has better coding culture. The placement are also decent for CSE students here but not good for any other branch.To take admission here you have to appear and clear the JEE Main examination. For General category student you have to get under 13k mean 99 percentile to get this college.The crowd here is also decent.

Our college follows relative grading system. So it's not necessary score Full marks to get good grades but sometimes the professors set difficult paper which make the average go very low like 2 3 marks only. Some faculty are friendly and some are not.
