IIITDM JABALPUR - PROS and CONS

Course Curriculum is quite good. Practical and Labs along with classes provide the students with hands-on experience. Projects are given in the courses so that students and can have a better understanding of the real world problems and create a solution for that.

In college , professors provide research internships under them for their ongoing projects. Students can also go for industrial internships after their second and third year in the summer break and in the fourth year.

Students are eligible for Summer Internships from the 5th Semester onwards. For the final year, students can go for one year or 6 months internship as their PBI or BTP. Highest package secured was 122 LPA (off-campus and Abroad) and 110 LPA (off-campus and India).

The year wise fees including hostel and mess charges are Rs. 195440. This feels is for General, OBC and Gen-EWS category students. The year wise fees for SC/ST are ?36000. The fees is increasing with the admission of new batch. Scholarships such as NSP and MCM are available for the students.

Campus Life of IIIT JABALPUR is quite good. It host annual cultural fest - TARANG and Annual Technical Fest - Abhikalpan. Library hosts a storage of books from different streams and genres Classrooms are equipped with ACs and good seats.

College has 4 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. Hostel rooms are equipped with lights, sockets, LAN port for internet connection, table, chair, etc. It has one central mess which host the dining services for the students.

I got this college based on my rank in JEE MAINS. I was also getting other colleges but reason behind choosing this college was it's infrastructure and placements, which was far better than the others.

The faculty to student ratio is quite good. Yes, it has decreased in the last 1 and a half years but it is being achieve slowly. IIITDM JABALPUR follows the system of Relative Grading but some professors follow the Absolute Grading Scheme.
