PES Institute of Technology Admission

PES Institute of Technology and Management offers a Bachelor of Engineering program for which a candidate must have cleared 10+2 with an aggregate of minimum 50% and sanctioned score in COMEDK and KCET examinations. Admissions for M.Tech merely require Graduation in B.E.

For MBA, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% in the final Degree examination. They are also required to cross the sanctioned cut-off for Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT or equivalent examinations following Personal Interviews and Group Discussions

How to apply?

Candidates need to register with the entrance examinations they are supposed to give in order to opt for the respective course.
Only those appearing for the entrance exams are allowed to apply for BE and MBA courses.
Candidates are needed to download the admission form from the official website of the college.
They need to submit the form and the necessary documents (mentioned in the form) on the set date of the college.
The admission will depend on the score of the entrance examination of the candidate.
For MBA, the selected candidates may also have to go through Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
The ones who surpass all the conditions will be admitted to the college.

Ans. College is average for finance with an average salary of INR 4 LPA. Companies include all-time recruiters like Indian PSU Banks and NBFC’s as well as startups for financial roles.

Ques. Do they have a cultural committee?

Ans. Yes, the college does have a cultural committee. Students can enroll themselves in the committee. They volunteer for various activities happening in the college. The college also conducts a festival once every year.

Ques. Do they have accommodation facilities for both, girls as well as boys?

Ans. Yes, they do have two separate hostels for boys and girls each. The hostels have the same code of conduct and both of them are on either side of the college.

The real truth about PES

Likes

The lab facilites and the constant upgrade in the syllabus to be upto date with the current market trend is one of the best part of the college. The faculties are determined to teach and they are very encouraging and well prepared before each class.
The hackathons and competitions. The clubs in the college constantly almost every 14 days once conduct regular hackathons and competitions for all the students of the college which improve the overall skills of the students.
The clubs in the college are too good. There are more than 20+ clubs and all are active and the students actively take part in the clubs. The Mrd student centre as all the facilites for sports and gym and its the best hangout spot of the college.

Dislikes

The fest and college life is little off compared to other colleges in the city. There is no much of cultural events happening in the college. We just two major fests one each semester and few small events.
There is no night canteen for hostel students and there is no campus life as such as it is situated in one of the most happeneing cities of the country.
The curicullum is strict and there is a strict attendance policy. There are lot of assignments and exams almost every month and the exams are pretty tough compared to other universities and in one way better for the growth of the student.

Various companies recruiting from the campus , average and highest package being offered

The students in our college are eligible for internship placements from semester 6 and campus full time placements from semester 7. Our college will not function as any other college in 4th year as it is only internships and capstones. Our college gets visited from top companies like Google, microsoft, Atlassian, jp morgan, morgan chase, Goldman and many more .Overall 240 companies visit our college and over 1200+ offers are made. The highest package was above 60 lpa ctc and lowest was 3.5. median and average stood at 11 and 12 lac ctc respectively. Almost 85% of the students get placed rougly 1200 among 1400-1500.There are many people who opt for masters after their undergraduate and some even opt for research.We even have GRE and GMAT coaching given specially in college. My plans is to go for Masters maybe directly or after working 3-4 years after my graduation.

Paid internship opportunity in various organization

There are many internships opportunities offered inter college and even from outside companies. Some of the famous companies are APPLE, jp morgan etc. The stipend is around 30k/ month. The inter college internships are from some of the top clubs or researh opportunities in the field of robotics, IoT and technology. We even have startup based internship offered by CIE centre for innovation and entrepreneruships and even teaching assistant internships all of them are paid on hourly basis. (30-100rs per hour).

Events organized, and facilities available in the campus

We have two annual fests one of each campus in alterantive semesters. The EC campus fest MAAYA is held mostly in November and its 2 day fest. Which is very colourful and the DJ nights and other activities and other things are too good. The RR campus fest AATMATRISHA is mainly held in April and its one of the best fest in Bangalore and one of the best . Its a 3 day fest with some of the famous personalities coming like - biswa kalyan rath, jasleen royal,shaan and many more. There are many more fests happening like Kannada fest and more. Our libraries are equipped with all the books needed for every branch and there is a huge space and almost contains all the books. Our campus is equipped with central wifi and can be accessed anywhere. We have a student centre where there is a badminton, squash table tennis court and all the indoor games and a gym. We also have a well maintained basketball ,cricket and football court.There is a college team for all sports and we have inter-dept matches.

Admission process, total fees of the course and scholarship availability in the campus?

In our college , there are 4 modes of entrances. Through KCET, PESSAT, JEE MAINS and MANAGEMENT. From 2025 onwards JEE mains and KCET will be the only means of entrance. People who come through KCET pays fees of 1.16 lakh inr and optional fee of 10,000 inr. People through PESSAT and JEE mains pay 4.5 lakh per annum in my batch , and its increased 30,000 for the upcoming batch of 2025. The division of fees isn't there and all the fees is taken together. For Management the fees was 11 lakh per annum for cse and aiml and 8 lakh for ece. This year the fees is increased by 2 lakhs. There is no category based fee and there is no divisions based on category in our college. There are 3 types of merit based scolarship in our college. Top 5% of students get MRD scholarship which is 50% refund of total fees,top 20% people - Cnr scolarship 40% refund and at the last distinction people above 7.75 cgpa gets 2000 ruppees as scholarship amount.

Students view on course curriculum and examination followed in the campus

Computer science in Pes is one of the best in the state due to its relevance with the industry standards and due to their constant effort to update it every year and teach the best to the children. They cover all the things needed for a Computer Science engineer and the knowledge needed to crack any interview. The curriculum and the timings and the thing of not pressurizing students by a strict curriculum influenced me to take this course. The curriculum prepares you for real-world applications by constantly making us do projects after each lesson and it's always upto date. Maybe new languages might be taught to the students instead of some of the old languages and I guess thats the only area of improvement needed in the course curriculum. We have 3 major exams 2 internal and one external and internals usually have mcq and 4 markers and all will be conducted in hybrid mode and ESA full descriptive answering. There is a gap of 45 days between each interval.

Hostel accommodation in the campus

I am living in currently EC campus hostel and last year i lived in Amaatra boys hostel which is a hostel given by the university for 1st years different from the other year people. Amaatra hostel had intime of 7 for boys and 6 30 for girls. All the girls from all 4 years stay in that hostel only. There is one small canteen in the Amaatra hostel. There are laundry facilities included in hostel fees and transportation dialy to college. They have a 24 hr wifi. The hostels are well maintained and have very good infrastrucutre. The Ec campus hostel is only for boys and medical students. It has intime of 10 30 pm. It has 2 mess to choose from and 2 canteens till night and a food truck and its inside campus. Both the hostels have sports faciltiies and well maintained corridors. The hsotels are cleaned every 2 days and there are lift facilities in all hostel. The rooms are 3 people sharing in EC campus hostel and 4 people in amaatra. The hostels are allotted on first come first serve basis.

Faculties and evaluation criteria of the college

The faculty to student ratio might approximately be 15:1. The faculty student relationship is pretty good , they are very approachable , they care for the well being of the students and considers students for the research and many other things. They always encourage students to participate and acquire more skills. All the faculites are pretty good and experienced. We have the best faculty for all cse and ece branches.Majority of them are phd and master degree holders. The exams in our college are pretty strict and above average difficulty. We have 2 internals and one externals and we dont have any options in these exams. They are actually conducted in hybrid mode pen and paper or CBT. All the exams are considered for cgpa basis and even the labs and projects are considered. Less than 10% of students fail to clear the exam and they are given 2 chances in the same year to clear the particular course. The course is updated every year with the update in the real world and its upto date.

Eligibility criteria and admission process

I applied for NITS, IITs, and Bits. I couldn't clear JEE advanced. I cleared mains and Bits, but I didnt get desired NITs and desired Bits and branches.I chose this college rather than other nits because of the Bangalore exposure you get. I had jee percentile of 97. I chose this college because of the exposure it provides and the curriculum and constantly improving placement and internship opportunities. I wasn't able to clear other exams due to personal health reasons. There are 5 types of admissions. Pessat- The rank should be below 5k to get any branch in the college preferably below 2.5k for cse, but this mode is not there from 2025. Jee mains- above 97% percentile. Kcet - below 5k for the general category, below 12k for obc, and below 30k for sc st. The admission experience is hassle-free and Pessat counselling takes place offline.

pes it has name and tier 2 college at this time. igot addmission from kcet . once you got opportunity like this college . highly reputed college in karnataka. through kcet i have applied for college live R.v college, m.s ramiah and all. didnt get admission coz cutt off their college. admission process in my college was simple . no hectic process . got admission letter from kcet and applied.

I had gotten into vit SRM lpu mit manipal bmsit ect collages at 10 k cet rank. But then i wanted to go to pes cauz it's way better than all those collages here the placement is also good and the peer group is amazing will all good PPL. I almost got in all collages I applied for but vit i rejected cauz to many PPL, lpu also same and plament was bad mit because it's not that good now

The admission process was very easy you can do it online while seating on a sofa or u can visit the campus and physically be present during admission process. For ece you need to have a rank of atleast under 2000 for cse you need to get under 1000. No idea about kcet

Admission process was quite easy. I entered through KCET quota, so most of the work has been done before hand. The year I joined the cutoff for ECE branch was 13419. For GM. The admission process was fine and I didn't find any problem in that.

Admission:

First, you need to write CET exam after that you need to enter on PESU academy.com in which we can enter into our courses and they will be in telephonic interview and you will get into waiting list if the files and everything is alright, you will easily get into the college

I am very lucky to join this college because i have got such a good friends
College was really good in academics which helps in focus

Dislikes

There's was no trip or vaccay facilities
There was good infrastructure but we can't use everything there was a restrictions

Admission:

Based on cutt off, cut off should be 85%in puc, to get application forms we need to go to college and application fee is 200,ther is no entrance exam , and we need to pay fees on time with DD not cash

Likes

The availability of resources and the number of active clubs
Provision of sports facilities is very convinient
Lot of cafeterias to eat from at very nominal pricing

Dislikes

The construction going on which is disturbing
The small campus which limits our college life to some extent

Admission:

the entrance exam PESSAT is conducted only once and was on online mode. The difficulty level was moderate and covered the basics of 11 and 12. After the announcement of the results, a ranking card was issued based on which we were called for offline counselling. The seats were given rank wise among both Ring Road campus and Electronic city campus.The whole admission process was small but congested as there were almost 1500 students at a time for admission which caused a lot of delays in the admission process.

Does institute accepts Karnataka Pgcet For admissions?

PES University Electronic City Campus does not accept Karnataka PGCET scores for admissions. It accepts the scores of KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) for providing admission to B.Tech. courses.

The first year fee of PES University Electronic Campus B.Com. is INR 1.1 lacs. The second and third year fees of the course are the same INR 1 lac.
