CiTech Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session at CiTech are governed by the KCET 2026 and COMEDK 2026 schedules issued by the respective authorities. Final-round counselling and spot admissions are currently active in September 2026.

Programme-wise, the entrance route and exam requirements differ for UG and PG admissions. The table below covers accepted exams for the 2026-27 cycle.

CiTech Courses and Fees

CiTech offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes primarily in Engineering and Management. The BE programme across eight branches is the primary offering. Fees below are from official data for the 2026 academic year.

CiTech’s most recent additions to the BE programme include AI and Machine Learning, IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, and Data Science. These new-age specialisations were introduced in response to industry demand in the Bengaluru tech ecosystem, which is concentrated in the Whitefield, Manyata, and Electronic City corridors close to the K.R. Puram campus.

CiTech Admission Process

BE Admission

BE admission at CiTech follows the Karnataka state admission process governed by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). The college has both KCET (Government Seats) and Management Quota seats.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum 45% aggregate from a recognised board (40% for reserved categories)
• Entrance exams accepted: KCET / COMEDK / JEE Main / Management Quota direct
• Selection stages: KCET or COMEDK score, online choice filling, KEA counselling rounds, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment

NRI and Management Quota seats at CiTech are filled directly by the college based on merit in 10+2 and KCET/JEE Main score. As per recent KCET cutoff trends, CiTech CSE closes in the 10,000 to 25,000 KCET rank range for General category students, making it accessible to a wide pool of Karnataka applicants.

MBA Admission

MBA admission is based on KMAT Karnataka or PGCET score, or national scores such as MAT and CAT. Graduation with 50% aggregate in any discipline is the minimum eligibility. The selection process involves score-based shortlisting followed by a personal interview at the institute.

MCA and M.Tech Admission

MCA admits through Karnataka PGCET (PG Common Entrance Test) or direct management quota, with graduation and Mathematics background required. M.Tech in CSE and VLSI and Embedded Systems admits through GATE score or PGCET, with BE or B.Tech in the relevant branch and 55% aggregate required. GATE-qualified M.Tech students are eligible for the AICTE stipend of INR 12,400 per month.

CiTech Placements

CiTech maintains an active Training and Placement Cell that coordinates campus recruitment for final-year students. In the 2025 placement season, the highest package was INR 53.50 LPA and the average package was INR 7.2 LPA. Over 200 companies participated, making 790+ multiple offers across batches.

In the 2024 placement season, 557 students registered and the institute reported a high placement rate, with a highest package of INR 27 LPA and an average of INR 7.5 LPA. CSE and AI-ML graduates drive the highest placements, followed by ECE and EEE graduates recruited into embedded systems and semiconductor roles.

Confirmed recruiters include Samsung, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Bosch, Intel, Amazon, Adobe, and Microsoft. IT services companies account for the bulk of offers, with core engineering roles in manufacturing and electronics filling positions for Mechanical, EEE, and ECE graduates.

CiTech Rankings

CiTech holds a NAAC A+ Grade accreditation and NBA accreditation for four B.E. programmes. In India Today Engineering Rankings 2025, it is ranked 213th in India and 14th in Bangalore. The Week 2025 ranked it 144th in India and 17th in Bangalore.

CiTech is NBA-accredited in CSE, ECE, EEE, and ISE (Information Science and Engineering). The NIRF Innovation Band 101-150 recognition reflects research and startup activity. CiTech does not currently participate in the NIRF Engineering or University ranking submissions, so no NIRF Engineering rank is available.

CiTech Campus and Infrastructure

CiTech’s campus spans 16 acres at Krishnarajapuram (K.R. Puram), Bengaluru, adjacent to Old Madras Road. The campus houses purpose-built blocks for each engineering department, advanced computing and electronics laboratories, a central library, seminar halls, and a separate administrative block. The location is well-connected to central Bengaluru by road and is 5 km from the K.R. Puram railway station.

Separate hostels for male and female students are available on or near campus, with annual fees of up to INR 1.5 lakhs. The campus has sports grounds, a gym, a medical room, and cafeteria facilities. CiTech operates innovation labs for IoT, AI, and robotics linked to its NIRF Innovation Centre designation, supporting student project work and startup incubation.

CiTech vs CMRIT vs New Horizon College of Engineering

Aspirants shortlisting VTU-affiliated private engineering colleges in the Whitefield-K.R. Puram corridor of Bengaluru commonly compare CiTech with CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) and New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE), all three serving KCET and COMEDK applicants with similar cutoff bands.

All three colleges are NAAC A+ accredited, VTU affiliated, and serve the tech-concentrated east Bengaluru zone. CiTech’s proximity to K.R. Puram makes it accessible from central Bengaluru and the Whitefield IT corridor. CMRIT is closer to the ITPL tech park. NHCE at Marathahalli is well-placed for students targeting Outer Ring Road tech companies. The choice typically comes down to campus location preference and KCET counselling round seat availability.
