Course Curriculum Overview
PES University has a very updated curriculum required for the outside world. Each year the syllabus is changed based on the requirements. For engineering CSE,ECE,CS with AIML, Mechanical and biotech engineering is offered. The only issue i see with the syllabus is that during first year the mechanical subject doesnt have any workshops and everything is theory which i see is a drawback when compared to other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure varies with the subject you have chosen, such as CSE has a fee of 4.5L and ECE has 4.0L per annum. Scholorships are available for lower classes. There is a way to go through management quota. Another way of entering this college is by giving KCET which is a government entrance exam and due to that the fees for reduces significantly. Different scholorships are are provided based on merit upto half the fees. MRD scholorship gives half the fees back whereas CNR scholorship pays you back close to 80K per semester if you meet the required SGPA criteria.
Campus Life
This particular college is very study oriented and due to that the amount of focus towards social aspects are less. But there are a lot of clubs focusing between coding to dancing and drama to technology oriented. The facilities provided for sports are state of the art which includes a cricket ground, football ground, badminton court, squash court, table tennis, gym, indoor jogging area and much more.Though i would like to say that the overall campus is small and engineering is basically limited to a single block and all the four years will revolve around that very building itself
Admission
the entrance exam PESSAT is conducted only once and was on online mode. The difficulty level was moderate and covered the basics of 11 and 12. After the announcement of the results, a ranking card was issued based on which we were called for offline counselling. The seats were given rank wise among both Ring Road campus and Electronic city campus. The whole admission process was small but congested as there were almost 1500 students at a time for admission which caused a lot of delays in the admission process.
