Likes
- The nature of the faculty towards the students is warm and welcoming, they are not like the usual stereotypical professors you might have seen in movies and stuff, they are always approachable and help you in every way they can
- The number of hackathons and workshops taking place in this college round the year is very high so there is always an option for the student to learn something new or upskill themselves in different ways
- Placements of PESU are really great with all the numbers and median package it seems very attractive
Dislikes
- The campus is small like compared to other colleges our campus size is small
- The exam are quite frequently conducted so round the sem you feel occupied with one thing or the other so you can bid farewell to those 'chill college life' plans if you are in PESU
- Rules and regulations are a little strict over here like the 85% attendance criteria is very strictly followed, even at 84.9% you wont be eligible for your final end sem exams
Course Curriculum Overview
Majority of the faculty in my campus are PhD holders and as far as I know there is a 30:1 student to faculty ratio. Exams are a bit hectic over here like every two weeks you will have an internal unit test but no mid sems, just 3 unit tests and an end sem
Internships Opportunities
My seniors recently had the privilege of participating in the internship program at PESU and based on their experiance and anecdotes it was quite a thing and it surpassed their expectations.It allowed the students to gain both practical knowledge and skills in their respective fields
Placement Experience
The camous placements are awesome at PESU which is the main attraction of this college i.e. its median package being around 10-12 lpa which in current scenario I feel is decent. 100% of the students are placed and many companies visit the campus during the placement session
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholariships are one of the main attraction amongst the student at PESU, The top 20% of the students get a fee waiver of 40% and the top 10% student get a fee waiver of 50% every sem so perform well in your end sems and you will be paid for your efforts.
Campus Life
There are 2 fests every year namely Maaya and Atmatrisha conducted at EC and RR campus respectively. There is a 3 floor library which shall meet all you book requirement.It has everything books, journals and access to research papers every material that you might need related to course or for you own skill development you shall find it here.
Hostel Facilities
Its a triple sharing room with the usual 3 cots-3 tables and 3 full size wardrobes with an attached bathroom. The food provided is good as per the hostel standards you might expect. If you are looking for a PG there are several options to browse thru within 1 km of the campus
Admission
You just need to clear PESSAT an in house admission test for PESU, 4 subjects PCM and english are there for the test. Applications and every detail to the test is available on the PESU website itself.
Other Applied Colleges
Shiv Nadar University - [SNU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Bangalore being the IT hub has more opportunities for CSE students than NOIDA, both the colleges are at par but bangalore has its geographical advantage
