Pes is pretty strict in terms of exams and assignment.

Fees and Financial Aid:

There are 3 modes of admission in collage kcet, pessaat, management. I got in through pessat the fees is 4.8L peryear and 19.2 L for the whole course. Through kcet it's around 1L per year. Through management it is 12L a year. For pessat and management there is no additional fees but for kcet kids there will be exam fees etc... there are 3 scholarship one is if a student gets more than 7.5 sgpa then they get 2k rs and one is mrd if you are too 25 percent of batch you get 40 percent of the fees and cnr is top 5 percent you get 50 percent of the fees.

The real truth about PES

The lab facilites and the constant upgrade in the syllabus to be upto date with the current market trend is one of the best part of the college. The faculties are determined to teach and they are very encouraging and well prepared before each class.

The curicullum is strict and there is a strict attendance policy. There are lot of assignments and exams almost every month and the exams are pretty tough compared to other universities and in one way better for the growth of the student.

In our college , there are 4 modes of entrances. Through KCET, PESSAT, JEE MAINS and MANAGEMENT. From 2025 onwards JEE mains and KCET will be the only means of entrance. People who come through KCET pays fees of 1.16 lakh inr and optional fee of 10,000 inr. People through PESSAT and JEE mains pay 4.5 lakh per annum in my batch , and its increased 30,000 for the upcoming batch of 2025. The division of fees isn't there and all the fees is taken together. For Management the fees was 11 lakh per annum for cse and aiml and 8 lakh for ece. This year the fees is increased by 2 lakhs. There is no category based fee and there is no divisions based on category in our college. There are 3 types of merit based scolarship in our college. Top 5% of students get MRD scholarship which is 50% refund of total fees,top 20% people - Cnr scolarship 40% refund and at the last distinction people above 7.75 cgpa gets 2000 ruppees as scholarship amount.

Internals weightage is less .it will be nice if they increase

I joined in 2022 where tution fee is 410000 The next batch tution fee is 450000 Scholarships are given for every sem for top students .the top 15% students gets mrd scholarship and the next set get cnr scholarship and everyone who gets above 7.75 will get 2000 inr.

Placements are fine but college life is bad.

I joined through KCET so fees actually depends of the government. As per lab fees and other compulsory fees it's 10000 rs. Per year. College also provides scholarship but for KCET students they need to pay extra 10000 rs. inorder to be eligible for the scholarship. There are two scholarships available to students CNR and MRD, which provides 40% and 50% fee waiver.

There is no such separate scholarship that can be availed during admission. But during the course, the college offers scholarships based on the cgpa and sgpa obtained by the student. The scholarships are distinction which are 1000 rupees, mrd, and cnr.

The PESU Experience

If you get this college through KCET then there's not much fee hike, but through PESSAT they might increase. There are many Scholarships awarded by the college upon getting a good spa, all students who score above 7.75 gpa get a Rs. 1000 scholarship, the top 20% of students get 40% of their semester fees back and the top 5% out of those get 50% of their semester fees back.

PES is known for academics and not for fun

If u get a seat in their entrance exams or through Jee mains results then u will pay approx 4.5 lpa for the course and there is also a management quota where u pay 10lpa, and if u get a govt seat by scoring in KCET then u will around 1.12lpa (which also varies with reservation quota, the one I mentioned, is for general quota which I also paid). If u also want hostel facilities then will pay an extra 1.3lpa which is a good price for this hostel compared to other hostels in Bengaluru where everything is expensive and u get good amenities in a hostel and also the food is good. They do have many scholarships on the basis of our academics from min 1.5k to 2k for the distinction to 18k for the CNR Rao scholarship which is given to those who scored more than 9 cgpa also refund ur fee if kept on scoring 9 cgpa throughout the course.

Life at Pesu

The fee I am paying right now is 1,10,000 rupees. I stay in a nearby pg so the pg cost is 7000 per month. I have applied scholarship in SSP( state scholarship portal). I get 28k per year. It depends on the caste.

My college PES

Fee stucture is different for different admissions, there is no hike in the fees for each year for a student, but there is a hike in every year for new admissions which would be same for the next 4 years of the course. For admissions through KCET the previous year of my admission the fees was 1,05,000Rs whereas it was 1,12,000 for my admission. Scholarships are provided based on the merit for each sem main 2 scholarships are provided which returns the 30% of the fee and 50% of the fee based on the merits.

Walking thru PESUECC

The exam are quite frequently conducted so round the sem you feel occupied with one thing or the other so you can bid farewell to those 'chill college life' plans if you are in PESU
Rules and regulations are a little strict over here like the 85% attendance criteria is very strictly followed, even at 84.9% you wont be eligible for your final end sem exams

Scholariships are one of the main attraction amongst the student at PESU, The top 20% of the students get a fee waiver of 40% and the top 10% student get a fee waiver of 50% every sem so perform well in your end sems and you will be paid for your efforts.
