The real truth about PES

Computer science in Pes is one of the best in the state due to its relevance with the industry standards and due to their constant effort to update it every year and teach the best to the children. They cover all the things needed for a Computer Science engineer and the knowledge needed to crack any interview. The curriculum and the timings and the thing of not pressurizing students by a strict curriculum influenced me to take this course. The curriculum prepares you for real-world applications by constantly making us do projects after each lesson and it's always upto date. Maybe new languages might be taught to the students instead of some of the old languages and I guess thats the only area of improvement needed in the course curriculum. We have 3 major exams 2 internal and one external and internals usually have mcq and 4 markers and all will be conducted in hybrid mode and ESA full descriptive answering. There is a gap of 45 days between each interval.

There are many internships opportunities offered inter college and even from outside companies. Some of the famous companies are APPLE, jp morgan etc. The stipend is around 30k/ month. The inter college internships are from some of the top clubs or researh opportunities in the field of robotics, IoT and technology. We even have startup based internship offered by CIE centre for innovation and entrepreneruships and even teaching assistant internships all of them are paid on hourly basis. (30-100rs per hour).

The students in our college are eligible for internship placements from semester 6 and campus full time placements from semester 7. Our college will not function as any other college in 4th year as it is only internships and capstones. Our college gets visited from top companies like Google, microsoft, Atlassian, jp morgan, morgan chase, Goldman and many more .Overall 240 companies visit our college and over 1200+ offers are made. The highest package was above 60 lpa ctc and lowest was 3.5. median and average stood at 11 and 12 lac ctc respectively. Almost 85% of the students get placed rougly 1200 among 1400-1500.There are many people who opt for masters after their undergraduate and some even opt for research.We even have GRE and GMAT coaching given specially in college. My plans is to go for Masters maybe directly or after working 3-4 years after my graduation.

In our college , there are 4 modes of entrances. Through KCET, PESSAT, JEE MAINS and MANAGEMENT. From 2025 onwards JEE mains and KCET will be the only means of entrance. People who come through KCET pays fees of 1.16 lakh inr and optional fee of 10,000 inr. People through PESSAT and JEE mains pay 4.5 lakh per annum in my batch , and its increased 30,000 for the upcoming batch of 2025. The division of fees isn't there and all the fees is taken together. For Management the fees was 11 lakh per annum for cse and aiml and 8 lakh for ece. This year the fees is increased by 2 lakhs. There is no category based fee and there is no divisions based on category in our college. There are 3 types of merit based scolarship in our college. Top 5% of students get MRD scholarship which is 50% refund of total fees,top 20% people - Cnr scolarship 40% refund and at the last distinction people above 7.75 cgpa gets 2000 ruppees as scholarship amount.

We have two annual fests one of each campus in alterantive semesters. The EC campus fest MAAYA is held mostly in November and its 2 day fest. Which is very colourful and the DJ nights and other activities and other things are too good. The RR campus fest AATMATRISHA is mainly held in April and its one of the best fest in Bangalore and one of the best . Its a 3 day fest with some of the famous personalities coming like - biswa kalyan rath, jasleen royal,shaan and many more. There are many more fests happening like Kannada fest and more. Our libraries are equipped with all the books needed for every branch and there is a huge space and almost contains all the books. Our campus is equipped with central wifi and can be accessed anywhere. We have a student centre where there is a badminton, squash table tennis court and all the indoor games and a gym. We also have a well maintained basketball ,cricket and football court.There is a college team for all sports and we have inter-dept matches.

I am living in currently EC campus hostel and last year i lived in Amaatra boys hostel which is a hostel given by the university for 1st years different from the other year people. Amaatra hostel had intime of 7 for boys and 6 30 for girls. All the girls from all 4 years stay in that hostel only. There is one small canteen in the Amaatra hostel. There are laundry facilities included in hostel fees and transportation dialy to college. They have a 24 hr wifi. The hostels are well maintained and have very good infrastrucutre. The Ec campus hostel is only for boys and medical students. It has intime of 10 30 pm. It has 2 mess to choose from and 2 canteens till night and a food truck and its inside campus. Both the hostels have sports faciltiies and well maintained corridors. The hsotels are cleaned every 2 days and there are lift facilities in all hostel. The rooms are 3 people sharing in EC campus hostel and 4 people in amaatra. The hostels are allotted on first come first serve basis.

I applied for NITS, IITs, and Bits. I couldn't clear JEE advanced. I cleared mains and Bits, but I didnt get desired NITs and desired Bits and branches.I chose this college rather than other nits because of the Bangalore exposure you get. I had jee percentile of 97. I chose this college because of the exposure it provides and the curriculum and constantly improving placement and internship opportunities. I wasn't able to clear other exams due to personal health reasons. There are 5 types of admissions. Pessat- The rank should be below 5k to get any branch in the college preferably below 2.5k for cse, but this mode is not there from 2025. Jee mains- above 97% percentile. Kcet - below 5k for the general category, below 12k for obc, and below 30k for sc st. The admission experience is hassle-free and Pessat counselling takes place offline.

The faculty to student ratio might approximately be 15:1. The faculty student relationship is pretty good , they are very approachable , they care for the well being of the students and considers students for the research and many other things. They always encourage students to participate and acquire more skills. All the faculites are pretty good and experienced. We have the best faculty for all cse and ece branches.Majority of them are phd and master degree holders. The exams in our college are pretty strict and above average difficulty. We have 2 internals and one externals and we dont have any options in these exams. They are actually conducted in hybrid mode pen and paper or CBT. All the exams are considered for cgpa basis and even the labs and projects are considered. Less than 10% of students fail to clear the exam and they are given 2 chances in the same year to clear the particular course. The course is updated every year with the update in the real world and its upto date.
