My RVCE JOURNEY

I would rate the course curriculum of my college (RVCE) as relevent and fairly comprehensive , there is combination of core subjects, laboratory work, elective and exams in project based learning and also experiential learning - 1 interdisiplinary for all core subject and induvidual el for elective and lab . The curiculum prepares us to take up real time world problems, they support talents of induvidual as it has many student club and had many hakathon conducting along with institutions autonomous curriculum design (vtu affiliated), so these and its reputation as one od the top engineering college known for its curriculum , fest and selection procees ,influenced my decision to choose this course. So its curriculum prepares students well for higher studies , research and real world application . Though it can be furter improved by increasing industry exposure and hands on , application oriented teaching methods. Exams are conducted semester wise with 3 internal assignment and respective lab internals and 1 semester end exam and over all difficulty level is moderate.

it is based on department wise as they set internship according to the skills required for real world problems and as i have not taken internship in college yet i dont know much about it . but my friends have taken and have done projects and been a part of one of the famous space mission success of isro

RVCE is known for its Placement oppertunity itself .Students get eligible after 5th or 6th semester. The highest package went to 97 lakh per anum but the average is 15 to 25 lakh per anum , it can go beyond if talent and skill sets are extraordinary . there are many top companier like google, amazon , flipkart , JP Morgan , intel , Bosh ,Rolls royce ,TCS , INFOSYS and list goes on with top companies CGPA should be atleast 7.5 to sit for placements

As i was admitted through KCET ,general catogery , the yearly fee paid / payable is aproximately 1.27 Lakh(1st year ),1.26 Lakh(2nd year ) ,1.19 lakh (3rd year) ,1.13 Lakh (4th year) . This include tution fees ranges from 76135 to 64686 , it reduces gradually year by year. So overall fee slightly decreaces each year. batchmates admitted through COMEDK pay high tution fee approx 2.61 lakh to 2.37 lakh , this also decreases year wise , while management quota student pay substantially high fee . SC/ST students through KCET and under quota ,pay very minimal amount as most of their fee are coverde under reimbursement and scholarship schemes. about scholarship : Eligible student can apply for government merit and merit cum needscholarship . Alumni funded scholarship is also available , though the amount is not disclosed in advance.

The most famous fest of RVCE is 8th Mile and Kannadasanga's kannada habba , E- Summit it is held alternative years like e-summit for 1 year and 8th mile for next year and it will take turns alternatively . there r many good books of all kind ranging from BhagavadGeeta to Competative books for ias and others and other books for motivation and etc of famous authors are available Extracurricular here is given 50 to 60 percent if one is good . our classmates can be found more in college clubs - dance , music , tecnical , sports than in classroom all clund r run by students with faculty involved in it to supervise .

I applied to PES and Ramaiah Institute of technology and the RVCE , as i went through the KCET councling i was initially alloted Ramaiah i did not accept bkz it was far from me to travell and in next round i got RVCE as from my childhood to now which is considered one of the top and competitive college and also known for its curriculum and fests and clubs i wanted best an i got into . i did not rejected as i choose and got wt i wanted . the admission is through competative exam like KCET / COMED K , the cut off rank for CS streams is within 400 and for others within 16000 for general and rest you can see in kcet website admission experience was like they made us wait for minutes and rest when our name comes it will go smoothly before that we have to verify our document in kcet cell who ever is going through kcet for college admission

RVCE is autonomous institution affiliated with VTU and designs its own curriculum. The college have good faculty to student ratio ita aprex 1:17 , faculty members are approachable and faculty student relation largely depends on induvidual stusent faculty interaction addition to this they volentarily see to it that every student get opportunity . Each sem includes 3 internals and best 2 will be considered and 1 sem end exam,overall curiculum is relevent ,well balanced theory and lab work and supports research , higher studies etc. exams are moderate level difficulty , with consistent preparation its easy to crack

My favorite hangout spot after class is oue cafeterian which we call MINGOS , and the library as it gives peace of mind and its fancy environment , our quadrangle and amphitheater , and over all every corner except classroom feels so good and refreshing . And about late night activities it is very strictly managed in incampus hostels and if any activity is going on then it should be taken prior premission by principle and the club supervisor will be assigned and late nights activity for fest are allowed . the college feels protective and help our over all growth the only thing is to we have to show up ourself and utilise the best of the college oppertunity
