- It is a beautiful campus with all the sports facilities.
- The teacher are professionally trained and are phds and are coming employees of isro.
- The ratio is around 1:2 and the blend in crowd is pretty good. Everyone is ready to socialise and the seniors are pretty great
Dislikes
- Pes is pretty strict in terms of exams and assignment.
- The classroom are pretty old and the washroom too.
- I feel like pes should start having more cultural fest and grow on that
Course Curriculum Overview
I have taken cse in pes for first year the course is the same every collage it's not that related to cse in specific we do have python as a subject. But from what I have heard pes has a unique curiculum that prepares us for the real world application and helps us grow. There are 3 exams in a sem I feel they should reduce it to 2 cauz it's hard to keep up with everything happening at once
Internships Opportunities
The internship here is pretty good most of the senior have done their internship and felt really good about it. Most roles include software developer and tester. The stipend goes upto 1.5 L. The internship starts of in the 5 sem.
Placement Experience
Campus placement stats in the 7 sem This year already 180 companies have visited the campus making multiple offers. Last year a total of 300 companies came in despite of recession and highest was 56 L and avg was 14L. A lot of MNC showed up including apple samsung texax instrument phonepay ect.. 83 percent of the students for placed. My plan is to look for a good paying job
Fees and Financial Aid
There are 3 modes of admission in collage kcet, pessaat, management. I got in through pessat the fees is 4.8L peryear and 19.2 L for the whole course. Through kcet it's around 1L per year. Through management it is 12L a year. For pessat and management there is no additional fees but for kcet kids there will be exam fees etc... there are 3 scholarship one is if a student gets more than 7.5 sgpa then they get 2k rs and one is mrd if you are too 25 percent of batch you get 40 percent of the fees and cnr is top 5 percent you get 50 percent of the fees.
Campus Life
The campus life is good if you have a good peer group. There are multiple clubs in campus most of them are active. We have all the sports facilities too in campus we have a full size cricket ground 4 badminton squash tt chess carrom pool etc .the library is 3 story it has all the books needed. Tere are many social groups found in collage one is called paws which takes care of the dogs in campus
Hostel Facilities
I stay in boys hostel it is 5 km from collage they provide bus serveic everyday. The food is pretty grrod in hostel it is above average. It is a 4 sharing room with bunk beds and we do have 3 study rooms in the hostel
Admission
I had gotten into vit SRM lpu mit manipal bmsit ect collages at 10 k cet rank. But then i wanted to go to pes cauz it's way better than all those collages here the placement is also good and the peer group is amazing will all good PPL. I almost got in all collages I applied for but vit i rejected cauz to many PPL, lpu also same and plament was bad mit because it's not that good now
Faculty
The faculty at pes is great even though they are strict but know what they do. We are assigned a mentor every sem who will guide us thru it. In pes there are a total of 3 exams in a sem 2 are isa in sem assignment which are of 40 marks and one esa end sem assignment which is of 100. These are usually harder than other colleges exam. The exams are pretty revelant to the course.
