Kalyani Government Engineering College review

It is government college .. one of the best government engineering college in west bengal
Here hostel is also available for both boys and girls . There you will get a fully different environments
College professors are soo good and also experts in their field of subjects.

The placements are very good in this college there are many more companies which comes every year in this company and hire students there are many more good multinational companies whose come for hiring students at every branches like TCS Infosys cognizant Wipro Woods Haldia petrochemical, barc etc and offers very high profile package according to students capability

FACULTIES ARE WELL EXPERIENCED AND HELPFULL
OUR CAMPUS IS TOTALLY RAGGING FREE AND FREE WIFI IS ALSO PROVIDED.

THERE ARE SO MANY BRANCHES. LIKE COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING AND ITS SPECIALISATION AIML, AIDS , CYBER SECURITY, DATA SCIENCE. BESIDES THERE ARE BRANCHES LIKE EE, ME, CE, BME ETC. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN WEST BENGAL

Likes

The teachers are very helpful. The whole faculty have always been very helpful and supportive.
The lab is well maintained with everything needed.
The placement cell is also good. They bring many companies and present many other placement opportunities.

Dislikes

The experience of Library is horrible. The library needs to be upgraded. The books are very much outdated. Many books are not available so they give pdf copies or links to those. And the available books are from 2010 or 2012 like from that back.
The computer labs are not equipped with AC. In summer it's very difficult to concentrate .
The canteen is there but no so full of options. And newrby shops are atleast 10 mins away. But new shops are opening recently.

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in this college. In our cse department around 8 to 9 people including me got placed. In ece department as I heard almost 20 people got placed. Many companies like Capgemini, tech Mahindra, Deloitte and many start-up companies came. Deloitte, Bentley and some other companies came but didn't recruit anyone. Highest package this year was 7LPA. After recession the Percentage of students getting placements decreased. I got placed in tcs and now will be joining.

Some of the good college of West Bengal

Likes

Some supportive facilities who gives support in every types of aspects
Kind professors, supports in sharing their own knowledge

Dislikes

College environment is little bit bad, there can be some improvement
Some students can face some trouble but they'll not face ragging

Placement Experience:

Placement is not so good. If you have to get a job you have skilled yourself by your own, otherwise you'll not get any type of placement. Highest package offered is Rs 600000. My plans after getting a degree is to do masters.

Not so many drinking water filter and washroom ka not that clean

Placement Experience:

I think from 6 semester companies come for placement companies like Wipro TCS hero Mahindra they offer good package nearly about 6 to 8 lakhs for placement students must maintain 8+ cgpa nearly 80% students are placed. After completing my degree I study further.

Coding environment is good and all students help to each other's for coding.
The teaching method is quite good and faculty is expertise in their subjects.
The placement of our college is good because college average placement is 600000.

Dislikes

In our college must be improvement in thier cricket club.
The college infrastructure is not very good because in our college campus is small.
In our college personal and professional development is not help for students.

I choose the computer science and engineering beacuse this branch is top brach in all branches and the future job is sceure and I intrested in coding. In real world acadmic for some strentth here prectcle exposure industry collaboration skill development. The suggest areas for improvement is for prectice in their precticle and no improvement in teaching beacuse teaching method is quite good. The semester exam hi tough but except semester exam all exam are easy and within semester their are 5 test.all test is easy.

Very good campus infastructure filled with trees.
College programmes and sports are so good.
Seniours are too friendly when it comes to take stand for juniours.

Dislikes

College department faculty members were not so good.
I disliked our college placement committee.

Placement Experience:

According to me, placement is not good. From the 7th sem all students are eligible for campusing. Like Promact Infotech, Maventic and other sales companies come in this college. from college 50-60 percent students got placed.

Likes

Teachers are helpful towards the students and are willing to take extra classes for doubt clearance after the routine wise classes are over
Library is stocked with useful books as per syllabus and new books are regularly ordered as per requisition.
Ambience in very student friendly and bullying is inexistent in the campus

Dislikes

Number of exams is too high. In 1 semester, one final term along with 2 mid terms in unnecessary. 1 mid term is fine considering the study time students get.
Despite being an autonomous body, instead of making their own curriculum, they are more eager to follow the structure of IITs (a notice regarding this was recieved by the students on 6/12/24

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from after the 6th semester Amazon, PVC, TCS are regular companies that visit the college. Number of offers range from 6-7 for each of these big companies. Highest package is 30-35k and average is around 15-20k. Most of the students are allowed to sit for placements. Around 80% surely. A lot of companies come for interviews so there is a lot of opportunity. I plan to sit for placements and get a job after the degree. And continue with my MBA alongside my job
