Events, Fests are generally being conducted regularly in the college.
Teachers assigned to the respective course curriculum are knowledgeable and have industry exposure.
Students in this college get the good amount of placement opportunities.

Dislikes

Sports facilities in this college is very much limited. You can only play limited no of sports.
The infrastructure of the college is very much old fashioned.
Finding good peer group in this college is pretty much difficult. Also the girls to boys ratio is not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

You can say that the course curriculum of our college is average. Like it is not very much industry aligned and not much old fashioned or outdated. Yes there needs to be improvement in the college's course curriculum so that students get to learn the things that are actually important and are needed in the field.

CAMPUS SIZE IS REALLY SMALL AND THERE ISNT MUCH TO EXPLORE
PLACEMENT SCENARIO IS NOT SO GOOD COMPARED TO OTHER PRIVATE COLLEGES OF WEST BENGAL
NEARBY AREA ROADS ARE REALLY DIRTY AND CAMPUS GETS WATERLOGGED DURING RAINS

Placement Experience:

mostly from end of third year students start getting campus placements and companies like TCS AND WIPRO HIRE MAJORITY of the students. The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. I want to go into core Electronics domain for which I am preparing for masters as no core electronics companies come in this college

Faculties are so helpful here which makes our work easier .
The College campus is so huge that everyone has their favourite places here,
mine most favourite place is the pool side of out college wherever memories are made.

Dislikes

The number system is slightly different here as it is a autonomous Institution.
I also dont like the fact that they didn't have ac before
There is nothing more which i don't like

The Course curriculum is so simple.We have the best course structure there. There are so many options to score good in each semester.Mainly the odd sems held in morning and even at afternoon.It is very easier to makntain a great cgpa here.

Likes

Okay , i'll staff with the facilities, they are helpful , friendly ,and mostly they will provide you with notes and questions on Google classroom, which are gold for your semester exams . You can easily score around 8-9 by reading those .
I really like how seniors are coordinative and the college's anti-ragging policy .
There are actually pretty good amount of events that happen at the campus throught the year .

Dislikes

The first thing campus , as most IEM students would say , it is actually pretty small.
The hectic schedule, you have to attain classes from 9.30 to 4.10
There will be a lot of assignments, that would be given throught the calendar . Also a lot of tests just happening at a gap of one month .

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

I really like the environment of the college, like there is no kind of discrimination in the college.
College environment is kind of strict and fun at the same time , there are always co-ordinators available for us and also the ARC memeber who are our senior also help us in our day to day queries
Overall there is no kind of ragging in the college and college is very strict regarding college, who so ever is indulge in these ragging activities have to face huge punishments that's why the college senior and junior bonding is also very good.

Dislikes

The main thing which I don't like about the college is campus , like campus is not that big which I expected
Also the sports here are not that good because I have taken part in badminton from my department but was not allowed to play as I was junior and they said that seniors are priority
Also being an non local student there is also a language barrier as I don't know bengali and most of teachers often speak in bengali .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Likes

The academics and the discipline is too good in this college.
The college supports in extra curricular activities too.
There are several opportunities for the students to grow in multiple sectors.

Dislikes

The college is very strict on its attendance.
The hostel is very strict at its rules for both boys and girls.
The college should pay more concentration on sports and culture.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering course. The course is the most demanded and the most popular course among the youth. The future opportunity is too high for the students in this course.

There is no as such pressure of attendance from second year
Students are very friendly here they are supportive also
Infrastructure is good library has centralised ac system

Dislikes

Placements are not good as expected it can be cured
Classrooms doesn't have ac and student intake is also a major problem

From fifth and sixth semester students get eligible for placement Tsc does not came this year but many companies came like microsoft Deloitte and etc Highest package is around 11lpa lowesr package was 2 lpa and average was 4 lpa

The library is pretty good all the important books can be found in huge amount
The classrooms are big and lightfull but sometimes are too much hot in summer time but some classrooms have ac
Campus is big and many kind of activities are happening every day

Dislikes

Campus is big but in summer you can't do anything because of hot weather
Water supply is not good in whole area can't drink every drinking water even at college
Hostels are very old structured and very small rooms

Placement Experience:

College has very well reputation for placement in my course there are many local companies in haldia who recruit from my college like Haldia petrochemical, Bengal energy etc Many students are preparing for GATE exam also

Good Faculty but Average Campus Life

Likes

Teachers were supportive and explained topics in a simple way. Basic computer subjects were taught properly.
The campus environment was calm and discipline was good. Staff behaviour was decent and helpful during admission.
Labs and classroom facilities were okay for BCA. Notes and study materials were provided for exam preparation.

Dislikes

Placement support was not strong for BCA students. More skill based training and guidance is needed.
The fee felt slightly high compared to facilities. Some extra charges were there during the session.
Management and communication can be improved. Sometimes updates were late and students had to ask again.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant for beginners and covered important computer subjects like programming basics, DBMS, networking, and computer fundamentals. It helped in understanding the foundation of IT and software. However, the curriculum needs more practical sessions, coding practice, live projects and industry level skills. Exams were conducted semester wise with internal assessment, and the difficulty level was moderate. Overall the curriculum is good for basics, but it should be updated with more modern topics and practical learning.

Budget Best College For Students in Sonarpur

Likes

The Teachers faculty are very helpful and specially the hod of BCA is very supportive and helpful.
The main thing, ragging is not allowed here at all.
Full college is very neat and clean, proper air conditioner is installed in all the lab, classes of the college.

Dislikes

For someone who stays in central Kolkata, they might feel traveling an issue.
The canteen could be much better then expected.

Placement Experience:

Mostly what i know, from 7th or 8th semester the students are eligible for the campus placements. Wipro, TCS, etc are the companies who come to recruit students from this college. The highest package is like 15 LPA, the average package is around 6-8 LPA. 50-60% of students get placement. After the degree, if i get the job i would like to purse MCA, while doing my job.
