Asansol Engineering College

Likes

Excellent Infrastructure- Our college has well maintained building and green environment
Faculties- The faculty members are highly qualified, experienced and supportive.
Well equipped labs- The college has modern labs

Dislikes

Hostel facilities- The hostel could be improved specially with the mess part.
Placement packages - While the college provides good on campus placements there is scope of improvement in salary packages
A bit more industry collaboration should be explored

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite impressive and better than most of the private engineering colleges in West Bengal. I myself have received two job offers .We still have one semester left yet more than 70% students are placed from our department.

I liked how the college engage there students in cultural events
There are cafes and food parlour in our college
I like how our college faculty help us in every possible way

Dislikes

Class rooms cam be better in terms of space

Placement Experience:

In our college college itself provide intership throughout India and top places like LV Prasad, Shankar natralay ETC. Student from our college got a hights package of 20 lakhs per annum. And minimum package of 3.4lakhs

I liked the greenery in the college which give a calming mood .
I liked the mess food they are very hygiene and everything is really good
I liked the Cafeteria area as they serve the best coffee there.

Placement Experience:

from 4th year students become eligible for campus placements Companies such as Lenskart and big companies packages can be extended upto you skills like 4 lakhs per annum. 90% of the students get the placement here. My plan is to join a hospital or open a personal chamber of my own

My college life

Likes

Extra curricular activities, like programs.
Teaching facilities and teacher are very good.
Infrastructure of campus is really good.

Dislikes

Very less holidays on festivals and also in other day.
Food served in Canteen are not upto the point.
AC are not available in every classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I choose is very tough. I took commerce so I thought it would be best to choose BBA ATA in future also.Teaching method in our college is really good. The exams are conducted in every 6 months.

My Experience at my college.

Likes

The more you attend the more you know simple.
Very friendly batchmates and teachers if you're a good student.
There is no ragging, it's a ragging free campus.

Dislikes

Also same the more you attend the more you realise. If you have 1 exam of an hour, you have to stay till college end about 5 pm
You have to be very active in your campus.
Like other colleges we don't have permission to go out. There is only one stationary and a field.

Placement Experience:

Placement preparation is started from 5th Sem. You have to study well, practice spoken english and aptitude math it's mandatory to crack and get into jobs. There are many IT sectors/ companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini and many more. It is on your hand to get job, they will assist you.

college placements are average,near about 65%student get job
college have 2 auditoriums. where freshers you can enjoy a lot.
yes, faculties are much better than the campus..

Dislikes

there is lack of space in the college ,means small campus
social interaction is not that good in college
college campus is too small. no ground facility.

placements are average in the college. 450000 is the average package in this college i guess, but now placement scinario is not that much good in any college. highest package was 12l per annum in this year

Overall nice college.

Likes

The first thing that I like was the college placement records. Many students got placed with the average package of 7 lakhs. The highest package was 14 lacs and the minimum was 4 lakhs. Placement was record breaking.
The second thing that I like the most was hostel life. Hostel was very clean and the food was also good. In hostel I made with many peoples and had a great Bond with them this was really helpful even for group studies.
Third thing that I like the most was student and faculty relation. Faculty where very helpful and well we need any help with try to help us from the best

Dislikes

The thing that I hate the most was that the college was very far from the railway station. We need to travel around 45 minutes to 1 hour in order to reach the college main gate and the fair was also very high
Second thing that I hate was weekend foods during night the quality was very bad incompered with the Early Times
Third thing that I hate the most was that were not posed to go to the gym for muscle development

Placement Experience:

So the students where eligible for placement starting from 6 semester highest package in our college was 14 lacslagkes 3 years. My plan after getting a degree was to get a good job in one of the IT company.

You can go for it ,considering campus is small

Too small campus , lack of sports facility
Sports accessories are not available in the college
Non AC classroom ,most of the class room does not have AC

Placements are quite decent.It depends upon how hardworking the student is. One should be dedicated enough to grab a good placements Highest package offered was from bmc which was 14 lpa and Other companies like cognizant,tudip Accenture poly cab nri Fintech etc visited the college
