A brief details of Swami Vivekanand Institute of Management and computer science

Likes

Affordability - the college is quite affordable in this city.along that almost 25% we get return as scholarship.in this budget we got MAKAUT Certification, AICTE approved and NAAC ACCREDITED.
Faculty - without faculty there nothing to like in this college.the faculty members are so helpful.they teach really good.
Events- The college organised many events on time to time to encourage students and create engagement.it motivates and excited students for fun.

Dislikes

Infrastructure - The infrastructure is so small that it looks like an average college or a high school in reality.the
Campus life - Campus life doesn't exist here as there is no campus.the campus area are so boring.
Placement - Comes to placement it's really quite sorrowful to students.big companies rarely visit this college for placement.the medium and small companies came for placement.tje maximum job provided to the students are sales profile jobs.

Course curriculum are new as it updated and implemented in 2023.the course are well structured covering major areas. Curriculum includes case studies,journals,and updated which is helpful for tackle problems in real world.In my opinion if college includes more industrial exposure it would be great.tge exams are held in a gap of 6 month.

The campus amenity is learning facilities and extra curricular activity are appreciated and the college in a labs needed improvement. Engagement of in campus life is very helpful to intract with others even with teachers. There is good quality of soc
The faculties are expertise and they have enough knowledge that teaching methods are also good even the mentorship provided by the colleges also good. The college provides good placement service and they support for our career advancement
College campus has good amenities and learning facilities including library computer lab and others

Dislikes

Behaviour of the staff members, lab machines, library card system
Quality of mess and canteen, cleanliness of college washrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in genetics and research field I want to research about medical related field. Our course curriculum includes a lot of real world applications like it skills management skills computer skills communication skills etc. I will suggest to and real world application skills practicals to the course. The frequency and the timings of exam should be 6 months for semesters and 2 weeks for CA or continuous at assignments

Average college for studies in northeast

Likes

Very friendly teachers and supportive and help every one
Less fees as compared to other colleges nearby
Silent environment near the campus helps in focusing in studies

Dislikes

Frequently faculty gets changes which break the flow of the study.
No ac in the class room so that we feel very uncomfortable during peak summers
Longer classes and strict uniform policy.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester the students get eligible to sit in the campus placements. Some of the companys are tcs,apps connect and many local companies. The average package is offered of 2.5 lpa and max is 3lpa. As I am in 4th sem I don't have enough knowledge about placement. I want to do masters.

Likes

The college teachers are highly qualified and are very helpful. Seniors are very friendly.
There are different clubs like coding club, robotics club, music club, dance club etc. Sky watching camps are also organized.
Many senior students crack gate exam after studying from this college.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is not so good. Small college campus and very few students get hostel accommodation.
Less on campus placement opportunities for cse and it students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The b.tech in cse course is the most chosen course in today's era. This course enables the student to innovate and create new technologies. The tech industry is rapidly growing and the computer science professionals are high in demand. Exams are conducted in the interval of 2-3 months.

I love my college

Likes

The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, including a solid understanding of concept
The college provide a vibrant atmosphere with various club, cultural face, and extra curricular activities that encourage student participation and networking
Placement cell is active, providing guidance and opportunities for internship and job in reputed companies

Dislikes

While the academics are strong, more industrial visits from industry experts could improve practical and exposure.
Some processes like document, verification and fees processing takes longer than expected, causing inconvenience to studen.
The hostel facilities are decent, but food, quality and hygiene in the mess could be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is well structured and covered, essential, theoretical and practical aspects. It provide a strong foundation in which was a major factor in my decision to choose the course the curriculum prepare students for world application by incorporating, however, adding more good for the enhance practical exposure.

Likes

The helpfullness of our teachers and also the behaviour of our teachers is very good .
And our facilities are turely magnificent and mentionbal.
The quality of the education is turely amazing.

Dislikes

The quality of Canteen maintenance is not so good .
The quality of food is not good so I think it must be developed .
The sitting arrangement is not so good as per my opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subject of this course is the main attraction for me to pursue this course. The curriculum is directly prepar me for my further lifelong earnings . In my opinion the area should be the timing , teachers should give us more time to educate us and provide proper notes . The timing of exam is too short to be prepair .

My faculty are too good and explaining all the topic after the class.
My lab equipment are too good and teacher help us for using them.
Sports and events are very good in my college.

Dislikes

Lab equipment are too old and not working properly.
College ground is too small and outdoor facility is not good.
Management is not responsible about the students after the college.

Placement Experience:

The student are eligible for the placement from 7th semester. TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Amazon and sometime student are also placed in Google . There are maximum number of offer's from TCS, Accenture, and Wipro

Likes

Campus infrastructure is good and well maintained.
Library is good and found all relevant books for semester examination.
Laboratory is good with availablity of machines.

Dislikes

Drinking water should be improved in the campus.
Need quality faculties for the project work.
Need good skills development programme like python etc.

•Students became eligible for campus placement in the fourth year after seventh semester examination. •Mosty companies have come based on IT skills that is coding etc. • The company provided good pay scale for student as a fresher.

May Look mediocre but its quite nice

I appreciate the fact that our college campus is small yet it has somehow managed to incluude almost every single thing that must be there in a college with less space. We have all thpes of labs and tremendous labs and equipments and all basic needs.
Our college has less space so it organises big events like Mesmerizer outside our college in some other place and makes it as grand as possible and I love that fact about our college.
In our college there are a lot of clubs you will feel like there is no club work but in reality it happens and we dont get to know as sports events get organised, tech events, game events, seminars, fun events,etc.

Dislikes

I dislike the fact that there is no particular place inside the college where we can literally sit and chill.
The college faculty and teaching staff is little not upto the mark as they should have been in reality.
It would have been better if the support from our professors would have been better in terms of guidance and support.

After 6th semester, the students become elligible for campus placements and my company comes under that time for students. There are many conpanies like TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, Google, Amazon, Delloite, etc The highest package offered in recent years was 30 lakhs per annum. Almost more than 70% get placements.

Likes

Two Teachers are on time for the lession and they usually give a 15 minutes break in between sessions
Washrooms are clean and cleaned by house stuff every hour
Can wear any dress, as rules do not barbfrom dressing

Dislikes

Sudden exams without planning, only to be expected for semester 1
Teachers can interchange their class schedules without informing students about it, until the last moment
Regular classes will happen along with continuous examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It has a clinical specialization which I needed for myself, this making me choose this course. Papers may come with respect to theories as taught in class or they may test your understanding of the concepts. Most of the resources are provided, however it will be helpful if more resources are provided. It will seem almost impossible to give continuous exams each month while attending classes. Also attendence is very strictly monitored.
