- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- The campus is fantastic. It is the largest IIT in the country, spread across 2150 acres
- The faculty here is highly qualified. They are very supportive and research oriented
- The infrastructure and sports facilities is world class
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not very good, some old hostels need serious improvements
Placement Experience:
The placements at IIT Kgp are one of the best in the country. There is a career development cell, which manages and conducts placements each year. The average package is 16 LPA. After 7th semester Btech students can sit for the placements and after 9th semester dual degree students can sit for the placements. My plan is to go for a corporate job after getting the degree

- The infrastructure of the collage is awesome. The main building of the collage is excellent infrastructure .
- The professors are taught us in a next level. They clear every topic and chapters in awesome way. The labs classes is awesome because there we do actual practicals.
- Collage give us the medical facilities for student as well there all staff members. They also provided us the different types of sports facilities.
Dislikes
- Some of the building in the collages are become old and they need some maintenance but the collage can not do this thing properly.
- The ratio of Girls: Boys is 1: 4 which is not so good.
- The security of compass is little bit of light.
Placement Experience:
If we discuss the campus placements then 4th and 5th year students getting campus placements.
The companies that visited our campus are: - Google, Facebook, Infosys, Unacedmey, Apple, Qualcomm, Flipkart, Amazon, Tata Steel, Capital One, and many more.
The number of offers made by the company in 2024-2025 is 1165 offers to 950 students.
The highest package is 2.14 crore and the average salary is about 25 lakhs per annum.
Every year mostly all the students get placed.
If I talk about my plans then after getting my degree I prepare for the UPSE and IES exams.

- The culture of this institute is very good. Here, we can learn all things with the help of seniors and profesor.
- The environment of this place is very good. Everywhere greenery is present and pollution is negligible.
- Apart from academics, you can learn everything from here like you are interested in a particular game so you can get a opportunity here to learn that game in a efficient manner.
Dislikes
- Here some professor are dedicated to their research so sometimes they are unable to help you in your academics. But you can go to seniors for this.
- You have to choose good friends here because if you find a wrong one then your life is totally reverse.
- Ragging is not there, but if you join a society or cell then you can face a rude behaviours of seniors but this is because for your development.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester students are eligible for internship and in 4th year students are eligible for placements.
The placement of this institute is good.
Microsoft, Google, PhonePe, Boat, Tata, etc. like these many companies visited in campus.
The highest package in this year this is 2.7 crore per annum and average package is around 18 laks per annum.

- There are opportunities everywhere , if you have interest and discipline then you can do anything , campus will help you in every way
- The sports are pretty nice , in inter iit competitions we win a lot in many events
- The societies and clubs teach a lot of stuff
Dislikes
- The politics is too rough , there is so much reccomendation going on which makes a talent person feel useless if they don’t get in
- Since the acads and everything are too rough and too hectic , the culture becomes very toxic and people judge based on small things
- Caste discrimination , even im one of them , people get reservation benefits even they shouldn’t and are rich , a lot of things are unfair tbh
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are quite good , 90 % will be placed and the remaining 10 % will also be placed unless they have no skills or cg , it is also quite luck based and unpredictable , my plans are doing mba in iim or go into pharma through core

- Campus is very big. Here the strength of student is 20k.
- Main building is very unique and this is very old IIT.
- There is 33 halls. Example:- Azad Hall, RP Hall, Nehru Hall etc.
Dislikes
- Atmosphere is not good here. Raining everyday when ever the monsoon is there.
- Outside campus there is a village and no malls near.
- Near by no place is there to handgout with friends
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have taken 3 courses this year and the courses I have taken is as Transform calculus as this subject is mainly about math and linear alzebra.
2nd one is of Thin film and this is course of chemical deopartment \.
and 3rd one is sports and well being.

- Exposure. Exposure in terms of getting to meet people from all over the world.
- Newness in terms of sports, getting to try almost all of them.
- Availing good facilities like whole internet secured campus.
Dislikes
- High intra college travel cost. For example travelling by rikshaw
- Climate during monsoon can be very humid resulting into sweat.
Placement Experience:
Placement of the college is decent. Students usually get placed by the 7th semester and they can also opt for internship after the 5th semester that is in the third year. The placement statistics are department dependent but allover placement is decent.

- Amazing and well built campus with greenery going over 2100 acres
- Excellent infrastructure and classrooms with inbuilt smartboards and ac.
- Very good outlook towards real life and many oppurtunities to check out
Dislikes
- very far from the main city, not a lot of things available outside campus
- very huge intake of students and hard to manage
- distance between halls and classrooms is very high
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have wanted to take this course since i gained an interest in genetics and such.I love learning about everything that defines human health and progress into diagnosis and cure.
the course now is pretty relevant and has been taught from basics to get proper understanding.
the curriculum is designed to make us ready for the real world jobs abd everything that is required for it
the class tests are conducted once in two months are fairely easy.The mid semester exams asks for difficult questions related to your understanding and what is taught in class.The end semester 4exams are teh hardest and questions come from what is taught in the entire semester.

- Here dressing is not compulsory and I like it.
- Hostel and connection with seniors is the best thing in this college.
- Here allumni is very helpful and is very cooperative.
Dislikes
- Here you can see and learn political thinking.
- Grading are too much bad. Bad grade are given.
- Professors in civil department is to much irritating.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Actually I want to say that if u want to choose this branch then IIT Kharagpur don't choose.here some professors are so bad like they give low grade and give too much F grade in few subjects and teaching style is so bad.

- outside campus area is just like village
- old infrastructure which needs to be upgrade
- low girls to boys ratio of about 20:80 only

-Google, microsoft,L&T and many more companies
Highest package of college was 2.6Cr last year
-Almost 70% students got placed here
-Want a job only

- First of all I start with the campus and beauty of it.iit kgp campus was huge around 2300+ acre of area and u found so much greenary there fresh air and environment conversation
- Secondly iit kgp provides u so many field to grow in where u have a interest from future technology to late 90s technology all r there u can go with their own interest
- The professor at so well qualified and experienced.and their teachings style awesome ..
Dislikes
- Some of the professor were very rude and strict .
- There is a huge competition inside the placement cell definitely u can get a good package in iits but in contrast u have to struggle a lot during their college life

In the placement time .. I was so lucky to choose iit there is very good placement stats of my college more than 80 percent got the placement and rest prefer government job and go for higher study in abroad and some prefer to start their startup
