My campus life

Badly saying iit still follow the old school learning techniques.. the course structure and subject was also old grades .I suggest to add few subjects for what is going in industry ..in today's world all industry work is going automatic so why still iit teaches the old methods of different industrial process . Exam difficulty level is moderate aur mostly depend on subject and mood the the subject professor how hard he prepare the exam .and frequency is like the semester is of 4 month where in first month u have to give one class of some subject or in next month u have to write for mid semester also in some subject there is a preparatory gap for some subject or in some may be not ..in third month u have to give another class test and in 4 th month there is a time for end semester exam

There are so many internship opportunities which iit kharagpur provides toh the student and there is also a research internship opportunities which professor provide to u and u apply for their own interest

In the placement time .. I was so lucky to choose iit there is very good placement stats of my college more than 80 percent got the placement and rest prefer government job and go for higher study in abroad and some prefer to start their startup

My college fees was total 152000 in which 100000 is the course fee aur 12000 is extra curricular fee and 40000 is for hostel and mess bill . And this 152000 was per semester fee .Yearly it was going to 300000 plus . Per year there was a few increament in the fee around 2000-3000.

There are so many clubs society are their in iit Kharagpur because of that ur socially personality developed very well . I was the member of spring fest and cless club of the iit kharagpur. There are 2 fest of iit kharagpur which held in the month of January first is kshitiz which is tech fest and in next week there is spring fest which is cultural fest

There are so many hostels inside the campus total 23 hostel 18 boys and 5 girls hostel ..and different hostel provide different facilities few are single bed room few are double sharing and few are tripping sharing .mess meal are good some day and some menu ehh .. there is yearly registration when the room was get changed

I choose this college because it was the oldest iit ..and there was a named of iit kharagpur in India the nirf ranking of my college is 5 ..during my counselling time I got the mechanical engineering department in iit Kharagpur

I currently passed my fifth semester with good grades and my sem starts from 2 nd Jan in my last sem some faculty are quite good in their marking scheme and some di strict marking . By the the may in my department few subjects are such where there is a relative grading means u get the grade according to ur performance related to the topper of the class means in a paper of 100 if topper get 65 and u got 45 and the average of the class was 35 u can definitely expect the grade from B-A and some subject prefer absolute grading . Faculty to student ratio is like in my department there was approximately 50 professor ..and u can contact any of the professor through their mail and ask for the time and met him/her in their office

Night life inside the campus is good and so safe ..there is no restriction in hostel u can come anytime in hostel but girls and boys hostel are different and boys in girls hostel are not allowed and vise versa..the main gate of the campus was close after 11 pm and remains closed till 4 am in morning u have to not allowed to go outside without the Permission of warden.gym are open in morning 5-8 and in evening 5-9
