Likes

Exposure. Exposure in terms of getting to meet people from all over the world.
Newness in terms of sports, getting to try almost all of them.
Availing good facilities like whole internet secured campus.

Dislikes

High intra college travel cost. For example travelling by rikshaw
Climate during monsoon can be very humid resulting into sweat.

Course Curriculum Overview

In first year we are taught courses from around the engineering field be it computer science, aeronautical, agricultural and food, mining, metallurgical, electrical, electronics and many more. Second year onwards we are taught of subjects specific to the departments

Internships Opportunities

I have not yet been eligible for getting an internship through the career development centre in my college but my seniors are and their stipend sums up almost to a lakh rupees per month. There are huge companies ehich cone for internship and some students also get a semster abroad type of internship to foreign countries.

Placement Experience

Placement of the college is decent. Students usually get placed by the 7th semester and they can also opt for internship after the 5th semester that is in the third year. The placement statistics are department dependent but allover placement is decent.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general categories, the tuition fee is 1 lakh rupee per semester which gives the total to be 8 lakh for one B.Tech degree comprosing of four years and 8 semesters. For hostel and mess, 37000 per semester is the fees which gives the total cost for studying at 12 lakh.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and social groups all of which are run by the student and the student body and the clubs may also get financial support from the institute if they require then. There are chess clubs, finance clubs, tech clubs, debate clubs, drama clubs, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are decent, you get your own chair, table, bed, not mattress, fan, light and balcony too, Hall rooms can vary frkm single sharing to double or triple sharing. Each hall has its own mess and several playgrounds for different sports.

Hostel Fee: INR 37600 per year

Admission

I chose this college because of its name and worth in the world, being the oldest IIT, it is also the biggest one, which includes almost all the engineering fields, resulting into a better and much wider exposure.

Faculty

There are 8 semesters, each semester is of around 4 working months with 1-1.5 month of vacation at the end. A semester comprises of two exams, one at the mid and one at the end. There are various class tests, the amount of which is decided by the prof.

Night Life

In some halls, gyms are open at night, there are many night canteens which are flooded by students throughout the night. Libraries are not open 24x7 on regular days but during the last week of exam, they open for 24 hours throughout.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field.
