Course Curriculum Overview

8/10 In civil engineering all aspects of civil engineering are covered but I think that more detailed syllabus should be made which includes future enhancements instead of 20-30 year old methods of site testing etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Approx 40,000? per semester for Hostal charges No tution fee for ST/SC Total fee = 40000*8 semester + 15000 JOSAA FEE ( one time) = 335000? For General category students add 1 lacs per semester extra for tution fee.

Campus Life

I think campus life at IIT Kharagpur is one of the best among IITs. Here total of 20+ cell and societies provides apportunities for students to interact with other students. We have General championship as sports opportunities within campus and inter IIT for outside campus.

Hostel Facilities

Separate Fan, chair , table,bed etc are provided with accommodation of three students in a room Meal is okay in my hostel (AZ) but some hostel have issues. Easy registration process as it is done online through ERP.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Addmission process:- Give Jee mains and get rank under 150000 out of 1000000. Then after that you have to give Jee advanced in which you have to get rank under 10000. Your rank decides your college among all IITs.

Faculty

1:6 Favourite faculty :- Debasis roy ( for his disciplined way of teaching and strict nature even at college level) Here at IIT Kharagpur we have semester exams in two steps First one is mid semester examination and second on is End semester examination.

Night Life

We have no bounds on entry and exit in hostel but going outside campus between 11pm to 3am is not allowed without proper reason. Main hangout place is institute main building and place called ADDA. We have Gymkhana for gym activities.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.
