In3rd year you are eligible for internship and when you are in 4th year you become eligible for campus placements . There are around 200+ companies visit our college and have total offer of around 1000 .

The curriculum is very good and relevant for the future studies. The curriculum prepares us for real life problems solution. Exams are conducted two times once in mid of the semester and the final in the end of the semester.

IITs are renowned for their strong placement records and companies from various sectors actively participate in campus recruitment drives. Pre-Placement Talks(PPTs):Companies conduct PPTs to provide students with insights into their organizational culture,job roles and career opputunites. Job Offers:successful candidates receive job offers, and they have the ooptio to accept or decline based on their perfernces.

placement of iit roorkee are good mostly 80% student place get a well payed job and for upcomig year student get problem to get a well payed job due daoun fall in market ther are many compny visit iit for student.

There is high percentage of campus placement. You get a internship opportunity in 3rd year and eligible for campus placement in 4th year. more than 200 companies visit and more than 1000 offers made. highest package always crosses 1+ Cr and average package is around 20+ lakhs. more than 90% students get placed.

Placements are generally good for circuital branches but as for lower branches either you have to go in core which is difficult(off campus it is easy , since you have a IIT tag) but non core placements are decents . From 7th semster one become capable for sitting in interviews. Highest package is around 2Cr as for average it ranges between 22-30 lpa Almost 100% students are placed except for those who with thier own startup or try for offcampus placements. My plans are for getting a MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad or Banglore.

I choose mechanical engineering because that's what my rank can give me. I have no personal interest in taking mechanical engineering but I can get it in tier 1 iit which is very good. I guess mechanical has a faculty of approx 40. Qualification for the faculty is that you should have completed PhD and should had done innumerable projects. Of course mechanical is one of the tough branch still you can pass in all of the exams provided you had studied for them.

Students become eligible to apply for campus placements during their last year . Start-up culture is also really prominent in IIT-R which indeed increases employment as well as growth of students while still being in college .

The placement scenario is good in IIT Roorkee and manby huge companies come for hiring students. Internships are also offered based on the skills of students and theirGrade points scored by them in the semester exams

I chose metallurgy course because I have interest in metallurgy and I wanted to come to IIT ROORKEE and it was only option for me at my rank. The faculty Student ratio is good here On an average there are 12 faculties assigned per 80 students including the teaching Assistants. The faculties here are well qualified most of them have done their Phd and higher studies from abroad and many of the teaching assistants have pursued their studies from the Premier institutes of our country that are IITs. The exams conducted here are well organized and everything is defined before the start of the semester and the exams were not very diificult to pass . If you want to fail then you will have to miss all classes and do not submit any assignment and don't study a word. hahaha. I just want to tell if you study you will have good grades.
