Likes

The location of the campus is very strategic and also the campus is very beautiful in itself.
Safety measures inside the campus are remarkable and serves their purpose properly.
Campus placements are very impressive as compared to other IIT'S.

Dislikes

During cold weather, temperature reaches below 10 degree celsius which makes living really hard here sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum includes various subjects of Earth Sciences . Faculties and professors of IIT-R are very well informed about their subjects and are qualified with remarkable degrees from various prestigious colleges from all around the world. Teaching methods involve studies through slides and presentations .

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 138300 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are variety of internship opportunities available at IIT-R . Various companies sort students from core and non-core fields according to there field of requirement . Many companies provide internship opportunities to eligible students.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible to apply for campus placements during their last year . Start-up culture is also really prominent in IIT-R which indeed increases employment as well as growth of students while still being in college .

Fees and Financial Aid

In IIT-R , tution fee is 100000 rupees per semester (excluding category wise fees deduction) which is quite satisfactory as compared to the career opportunities we get on the campus . There are many internships, placement and scholarships programs going on campus .

Campus Life

The campus life at IIT-R is quite satisfactory as the campus is really beautiful and safe at the same time . Thomso is our annual cultural fest which is generally conducted in the month of October . Cognizance is the annual technical fest conducted in IIT-R.

Admission

For getting admission into Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee , one has to qualify Joint Entrance Examination (Main+Advanced) and had to occupy a certain range of rank to get admitted into IIT-R.

GEU makes complete engineers!

Placement Experience:

Oracle these days as some alumni of our college are working there and they have made them come to our university every year. Google and Amazon as well hired students almost every year from our college and because it's a batch of 900 students the average is 8 lakhs as some students even gets placements of 40-50 LPA every year.

Good Talk

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in the 7th sem. Recently, Visa visited our college but didn’t make any offers. The highest package in 2024 was 84 LPA, while the average is around 4 LPA. Nearly 80% of students get placed across different companies. After my degree, I plan to build strong tech skills and aim for a good software developer role.

A conforting campus experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

the btech curriculum is relevant with good balance of theory labs and project which influenced my decision to join it prepares students for internships and higher studies .adding more industry workshops and latest tools would help. exams are moderate with internal tests and one final each semester.

my honest experience at graphic era hill university

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum at graphic era hill university as highly relevent and fairly comprehensive because it include all the essential subjects like data structures ,operating system , database management systems etc.the combinatiin of both practical abd theory subject can help student to gain real word knowledge and can also achieve technical skills,the curriculum could be improve by adding more hands on industry projects , live workshop and update elective options that focus on current technologies ,exam frequency is well structured with one mid semester and one end semester , the exams are moderately difficult .

in our college placement is good unless you have Backlogs,less then 75% attendence and the training fee if you dont join the the training fee then you are not allowed to join the placement interviews. those who dont get placement they try off campus for the placement but according to me employbility rate just 6-7 out of 10

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

Placement Experience:

Oracle, Microsoft, DeShaw and almost every company which needs IT services have looked upon GEU because we are trained that way. This is the reason our median has gone up and this year was a breakout year for placements for GEU as over 15-20 students were hired for packages of over 40 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. As we know IIT ROORKEE is one of the oldest engineering college in while asia and has a very good alumini connection and placement record so i chose it and it is also closer to my home. To get into IIT's you have give jee mains and then advance and then you get your college according to your rank.
