Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

From 6 semester the students are eligible for the internship and also for the placements so years wise it's third year At civil it's BHL PVCL etc Highest package of civil engineering is 78 lakh per annum And the average is 12-16 lakh per annum 80-90 % student got placed Placement after that job

my life at NIT trichy

all the faculties have a docterate and they are highly knowledgeable in their respective domain. the tests are being conducted by our own subject faculty and hence the tests are easy.
the college is known for fests such as festember, nittfest (culturals), sportsfete, e summit (buisness), consultcon(consultancy), inter nit sports, pragyaan(technical)
there are various clubs in every domain, web and app development (delta), research and development (spider), entrepreneurship(e cell), consultancy(180 dc), english literature, dance, music, sports.

Dislikes

the girls hostel are okayish but still they have strict curfew which i didnt like. every action has to be accompanied with a letter and it is honestly so tiring
the boys hostel is very bad. there is no water supply in some hostels. but they are lineant with curfew
the mess food is okayish, sometimes they are not hygienic and they have insects in them

from 3rd year we will be going through internship placements and big companies such as amazon, microsoft, uber, mckinsey, png, larsen and turbo, dr reddy's, indian oil, bharat petroleum, cpc, ipc, and much more have visited with highest package of 55 lpa by microsoft. the average package depends on the department, for the circuital depts it is aronud 24lpa, whereas for non circuital it is 14 lpa. usually over 96% gets placed. my plan after degree is to take a job and then go for highers

Nit Trichy is renowned for its strong academic programs and rigorous curriculum across various engineering disciplines. It consistently ranks among top engineering college in india
Infrastructure: the campus boasts modern infrastructure with state of art laboratories, well equipped classroom, and extensive computing facilities , and ideal research environment
Nit Trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong Industry connection and career development program

Dislikes

Weather : the climate in tiruchirapalli can be hot and humid for significance part of the year , which may be uncomfortable for not South Indian
Limited industry exposure: Despite strong placement records, some students might feel that there is a need for more exposure to industry and internships to better prepare them for corporate world
Remote location: Nit Trichy is located in tiruchirapalli , which through historically significant. May be considered remote by some students who prefers to be close to major cities

The Number one NIT of India!!

Likes

The faculty is very much experienced in teaching. They teach every course with the great passion.
The campus and overall sporting facilities are very good compared to other colleges.
The placements and internship oppourtunities are better as compared to other institutes across india.

Dislikes

The language barrier in the state due to which you are not prefared for the higher positions in fest teams.
The mess food is not good its just up to mark.
The infrastructure and maintenance of the properties is not that good.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good although the recession is going on. From my department around 95 students sat for placements and out of that around 85 students got placed and the average CTC is around 12-13 lakhs considering the recession this is a good package.

One thing I like about NIT Trichy is the students and faculty. Students come from all over the country to study here
Second is the campus , it is very beautiful

Dislikes

The campus is very far away from the city
The hot weather and extreme conditions during summer

All you need to know about Nit Trichy.

Likes

The size of campus is too big. Campus includes various shops like lassi shop, coke station, tea stalls, 2k market and much more.
The fests are amazing. many celebrities, entrepreneur and allumni came in fests.
There is a gym , a swimming pool , and sports complex. So, there are plenty extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

The hostels are a bit old and they don't renovate the hostels properly.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college is very good. Many companies visits including google, Microsoft, Tcs, Infosys,etc. after 6th semester people can sit for on campus placement. Percentage of students getting placed vary from branch to branch for civil it was 77% last year.

NITT- The Pride of India

Likes

I liked the aura of being with people across the country and over the country as well
Liked the places nearby. Pretty good for outing and all.
I liked being in a place where people are really helpful in all kinds.

Dislikes

It's really difficult to converse with people due to language issue
Very challenging to go for outing in a sunny day. Really got sunburns

Placement Experience:

The students here are eligible to get a college placement at their 3rd of course. On which there are many companies that visited here such as - Amazon, PayPal, Texas Industries, Qualcomm, and many more. The Average package here was around 1500000 per annum and the highest reached upto 7500000 per annum. I am currently planning for ISRO as a scientist there.

NIT Trichy- An insight

Likes

The campus is pretty huge and you need to get everywhere by cycling.
You get to mingle with like-minded people from all over India.
There are several interesting courses in the curriculum.

Dislikes

The mess food isn't great, but it's better than in most places.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first year for any branch is pretty identical. You just learn about the basics of engineering. It's only in the later semesters when the courses become branch specific. You will have two CTs and a final end semester exam.

I love the campus and infrastructure, NIT trichy has a lush green campus. The department buildings and the classess are really well maintained
The college provides internship and placement opportunities on campus and have a separate department of training and placement cell.
The faculties are very qualified and experienced

Dislikes

The temperature during summer is too much.
The college is too big it is very exhausting to travel from one building to other

Placement Experience:

Placement are really good , college promises almost 100% to all. Training and placement cell is a separate department for placement, it helps students to prepare for their internship and placements. Average package for CSE is around 30lpa and for my department it's 18lpa

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

B.Tech EEE is the most hectic course offered by NIT Trichy.

As a B.Tech EEE student, you’ll have classes and labs all day long. The faculty is experienced. Most of them are friendly and supportive, but you can only rely on self-study. You’ll have some of the brightest students as your peers. Try to befriend some of them as they will help you a lot in studies.

NIT Trichy is comparable to some of the old IITs, in terms of placements. Almost all the students of B.Tech EEE are successfully placed each year, and some of them even bag multiple offers. Those who don’t sit for placements, opt for higher studies in prestigious Indian and foreign universities.

NIT Trichy will offer you an awesome campus culture, and lifelong memories. Its EEE branch is hectic, but rewarding at the same time.

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
