Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 3 Years Full-Time B.E (Lateral) program should meet the following criteria

Academic Requirement

Candidates who have passed Diploma courses in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) securing 55% marks or CGPA 5.5 on 10-point scale or equivalent (50% or CGPA 5.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/PH) are eligible to compete for admission to the appropriate B.E. programme
The admission to both the categories will be based on All India SLIET Entrance Test (SET-III)

Course Details

Tuition fee – ICD US$ 7700 per annum (US$ 4000 per annum for SAARC countries)or as applicable for candidates admitted under DASA
Other charges – US$ 1100 per annum

Likes

Here, no additional fee charged for extra facility like: Stadium, Library, Study Centre, Books, GYM, Health Centre
Here, you can avail to many different books according to your academics or even if you want to do preparation for any competitive programming

Dislikes

Here, the Mess food are poor which is common in every hostels. And, the Hostel related works are relatively slower than other works.
This college is in rural area of Sangrur,Punjab District. Sometimes we have to pay higher amount to the cab driver from Sangrur Railway Station to Sliet. The distance is about to 20KM.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here, the course curriculum is some how old but the students need to lean basics about subjects then they can master in it. Also, our course need to done some changes removing deprecated subjects about old softwares which are not currently in use in Job market and Adding some new subjects which are relevant to the future Job Market in India or Abroad. As a result, it need some changes although it is best curriculum.

Likes

I like its campus there is a lot of greenery everywhere.
Fee structure, as it is really low compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

Peoples are really bad here you cannot trust on anyone.
Hostel timings, girls are not allowed to stay outside of hostel after 7 and in winters after 5.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I have done diploma. There are 86 students in my class actually in my section, 50 are boys and the rest are girls. There are 2 mid-semester sem and one end-semester exam each semester.
