Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering & Technology, Sangrur (BGIET) was established in the year 2002 under the patronage of Bhai Gurdas Technical Education Trust. The institute is responsible for imparting value added, quality based and goal oriented education through latest technical & non-technical resources which meet the international standards.

The institute has been accredited by NBA and it is affiliated to PTU (Punjab Technical University), Jalandhar.
The courses provided by the institute are AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approved.
It intakes 540 students for its B. Tech. courses, 144 for its M. Tech. regular courses and 100 students for its M. Tech. part time courses.

With my high percentage in previous class I would have gotten addmission in any college. But this college has less course fee compared to other colleges and this was the nearest to my hometown. This college has much better facilities and placement rate.

I have applied in many colleges with this college but there are many few colleges with this courses availability this course is available in many few colleges in punjab and those are far from home and does'nt have enough seats

Admission:

The admission process is really simple anyone with low or high 12th scores can get admission to this College it's a tier 3 college of course. I belong to the SC category so I get the full scholarship I just have to pay for University examination and other college fees like PDP and 2000 per semester for unknown reasons.

Admission:

The admission process was very simple. I just got contact no from the college website and get all the information about the college including fee and courses. So after applying you just have to pay the college tuition fee which was just 25000 per sem and the best part was that there were no hidden charges. Although at the time of admission you have to pay some extra money for admission fee and security fee and your tuition fee after that you only have up to pay your tuition fee and hostel fee if you are living in college hostel. Also, the mandatory examination fee. Admission criteria for BSc biotechnology are you must be passed from your 12 standards with at least 60%. Your previous subjects must include either medical or non medical although science streams get the benefit.

Admission:

Studies and placements can be better. Transport facilities is only available during day which creates lots of issues for students. We have to come timely in order to catch the bus otherwise its too difficult to came back hostel.

Nothing positive or negative can be said at this moment of time.as 3 years have passed ,when I left the college.almost everything is changed. in 2015 it received NBA Accredition.so I can't say anything about the college now .nothing negative.
