MY EXPERIENCE AT SLIET

Likes

A big campus with a lot of tree which give you natural vibes
Every daily essential things available inside the campus

Dislikes

Non veg is not allowed in this college. Also in mess they give only one day green vegetables
No event organizers, you feel like you study in a college which is 10-15 year back from today's culture.

1st year fee:- Admission fee- 2300 Student activity related fee- 10400 Library fee-2300 Developement fee- 6600 Other charges -7000 Alumni - 2000 Tuition fee -52400 Total -83000 **Note - some security money you have to pay in 1st year** From 2nd year:- Fee - 66000 Hostel fee boys - 9000 per year ( without mess) Hostel fee girls - 4500 per year ( without mess) If you get scholarship your fee become 10k-20k per year

I like the most here is that the a lot of excellent lectures who studied from IIT's, NIT's and also from abroad universities
SLIET University's infrasture is also good. The provide good atmosphere for studies

Dislikes

Some of students are very insensitive and not good in behavior also
Scholarship providing office takes more time for documents scanning and providing scholarship

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Firstly I paid around 70000 while admission to SLIET I which they include admission fee, hostel fee, course fee, security fee ect. Then when I paid fee for next semester then i paid 37000 as a course fee and this is my 3rd semester here and I paid 37600 as a course fee in which the professional subjects and open elective subjects included. There is a scholership opportunity for those students who got above 10 rank in the entrance fee. For those student they just have to around 5000 to 10000 fee. Other fee money will be deduction. And there is also have one another scholership in which if you obtain good cgpa then you get some fee deduction and university also provide single room hostles for those students

College campus is nice it is around 450 acres
Hostel festivities for all the students is available

Dislikes

Placement are not that good there are scope of improvement
Labs are too outdated need to upgrade according to time

fee at the time of admission --14000 year wise fees --- 70k approx 35000 per semester tuition fee -- 25k /semester other fee -- 6000/semester hostel fee -- 3500 / semester no contention for St sc in tution fee scholarship for limited student on their financial background and on merit basis

An Introvert Student from SLIET

Here, no additional fee charged for extra facility like: Stadium, Library, Study Centre, Books, GYM, Health Centre
Here, you can avail to many different books according to your academics or even if you want to do preparation for any competitive programming

Dislikes

Here, the Mess food are poor which is common in every hostels. And, the Hostel related works are relatively slower than other works.
This college is in rural area of Sangrur,Punjab District. Sometimes we have to pay higher amount to the cab driver from Sangrur Railway Station to Sliet. The distance is about to 20KM.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

38000/Semester for Tution Fee 5000/Semester for Hostel Fee 3000/Month for Mess Fee And except this no additional charges for Library, Study Centre or GYM. And the Admission Fee is paid one time i.e. 40000. There is no relaxation in these fees according to Caste Category but you can apply for Scholarship of NSP if you are from Gen-weaker,OBC,SC,ST. There is also Tution Fee Waiver is given to three student registered in every course per year which decrease the fees by 60%. It is given according to your AIR in JEE MAINS marks or SLIET SET III Exam for lateral entry.

Vast greenery and huge campus I like the most
Availability of all types of playing sport is very good

Dislikes

Mess of some hostel are very bad and they are not improving it
Since It is located in remote area so transport problem is there no direct trains available

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Total 74000 rupees is paid as fees which is divided into 37000 and it is submitted per semester !! Many scholarships are available in this college like reliance, ffe, Mahindra, Siemens etc, college offers tuition fee waivers too !! Which reduce the fee to 20-25 k per year only !!! Tution fees year wise is 52400 and rest fee is included as activity, student development, library, sports,hostel etc. Fees is very good and affordable everyone should go for it if having lower financial background !!!

Extracurricular activities : there were a numerous extracurricular activties only i hope to conduct more.

The fee of college is very cheaper than any engineering college. Hostel facility is also included and there are too many scholarship opportunities are there if you have financial problem. College and hostel fee is very affordable.

very well maintained campus with variety of plants and trees as well as squirels, Neelgai, many birds etc.
Various types of clubs both social and technical clubs.

Dislikes

due to vast campus it sometimes feels tiring walking back and forth between classes and hostel
weather here is very hot with very little rainfall

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure here is very low compared to other colleges. around 30000 is the fee per semester and 3000 per sem for hostel that make around 34000 give or take as one sem fee. Scholarships are provided for the student on a merit base. Placements are taken seriously her, training and placement department here is actively working for the same.

I like the campus their blocks and the nature
I like the behaviour of students and teachers

Dislikes

Average placement is 6-7 lakhs per year and highest is 20
In summer there is too hot that you need to take umbrella with you

One Semester academic fees is 32000 and hostel fees per semester is 4000 and mess fees per month is 3000 overall you have to pay one lakh per year which is very affordable and there is several scholarship you can apply for.
