hostels are also so bad especially girls hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have done a diploma that's why I have chosen bTech lateral entry. there are 86 students in my class of which around 30 are girls. all faculties are phd scholars and also opted for further studies. there are two mid-sem and one end-sem exam in my college.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 64000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are not so good here. very few companies visit here and all of them are mass recruiters. average package is 3.5 lakh per annum. it is quite a fine package according to its fee. you get a nice ROI here.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is quite low for my college. as it is a centrally funded college so fee is quite low compared to other colleges. there is usually a scholarship based on state. hostel fee is also very low. it is an affordable college.

Campus Life

life is not so cool here. there is only one cultural fest in our college which is usually in the month of October Or November. and one tech fest in March or April. the library system is fine here. no extracurricular activity happens here. social groups like Happy Club, SSDC, Hindi committee, NCC, etc are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

hostel facility is very bad. u are not allowed to keep kettle, iron, or any electronic item. meal is also not so good but it is like ok ok, not so bad not so good. even the geyser do not work properly here and u get common washrooms, no laundry service is provided here.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

I got admission through the leet exam. eligibility was a 3-year diploma without backlog. application form is available on the college website. application dates get extended too much. students just have to log in and get their id password and then fill out the form and give the leet paper. if selected then further process will be done on the college website itself.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
