Help to the newcomers

Likes

I liked the green environment, at night weather gets cooler.
Lpu provides duty leaves for attending the workshops and useful events
There are many number of food courts where we get many food options

Dislikes

I disliked the hot weather in the day time , here weather becomes very very hot makes it difficult to go to university and clothes get so much wet .
Lovely professional University provides duty leave for attending the events and workshops and hackathons , but does not provide medical leave when the student gets sick .
Third thing that I hated is attendance criteria, here they give marks for attendance and those marks were added in final CGPA and grades

Placement Experience:

Lpu provides placement opportunities and companies comes to the college on regular basis and the eligible students get placed as well and average package goes to 10 lakh . And lpu itself gives placement to many students in University only.

Automobile Engineering First Year Review @ LPU

The course structure and Instruction plan is well defined and planned out which provides enough time for syllabus coverage along with revision classes.
The backlog handling system is realy good here, as you will be given many opportunities to clear your backlogs through one time reappear exams for a nominal fee that also gets refunded upon passing the examination.
The Labs here are really top quality and good modern equipment is used. Possibly the best automobile lab you can get in a tier 3 college.

Dislikes

The nature of the course is such that it attracts fewer and lesser lucrative offers in comparison to other courses such as B.Tech. in computer science.
The schedule gets hectic sometimes as continuos classes from 9 to 5 with just a 1 hour break in between may get tiring for a lot of people.
While most classrooms are great in quality, some are cheaply built and not well maintained.

Placement Experience:

LPU has a very active placements department. At the end of 2nd semester you will be made to select a career pathway which refers to what you want to do post graduation. If you select the Placement pathway then you will get placement training through special classes from semester 3 onwards for which you have to pay 13000 as a one time fee. The placements for this course are not something very huge, but the numbers offered are respectable. My personal plan is to bag a placement offer from the university itself.

Positive and negative sides of college

Likes

Facilities and infrastructure of the college
The number of opportunities provided in different curriculum activities like NCC , events and e sports as well
You can meet and explore variety of cultures and people, as you can find people from all around the world

Dislikes

The total number of students in CSE branch is very high
The compulsory rule of 75% minimum attendance
Classes during hot days, and long schedule, or sometimes its like 3 hrs gap between classes

Placement Experience:

Placement of CSE student starts from 6th semester, to make yourself available for placement you have to opt placement classes which charges is 14000/- (only one time payment) , for being eligible for companies you should not have any backlog , reappears etc , rather companies keeps visiting college regularly and in large numbers, but mostly are startups or sales companies, so we can say out of 800 only 70-80 companies are good for cse students

Unveiling experience in College

Likes

I Think I like the food quality inside the campus which is quiet good compare to other private colleges .
I like extra curricular activities held by the LPU which helps students to socialize and be active rather than all time studying .
Thing I also like is the diversity of college , from every part of college students have come here to Acheive something which is Good in diverse nature .

Dislikes

Obviously anyone would not like as we have long classes like 9 to 5 , that could be shorten
College provides various MOOCS on basis of courses available , prices are high that can be reduced

Placement Experience:

Placement here is quiet good , you can avail placement in 3rd year , if you're eligible . Max Placement i think 64 L and And AVG is 6L i guess which is quiet good for private colleges . Also they provide internship opportunities .

Lovely Professional University: The insider’s truth

Campus is vast and beautiful the greenery and the environment enlightens the sad mood usually.
Academic curriculum is good. I mean you can prepare for the exams easily and its nearly updated to the newer norms.
The RMS system of the university is too good. If I have any complain and I put the RMS request regarding that issue it will be resolved in one day or two days. Also the online management system is too good.

Dislikes

The strength in trending branches is too much. I heard from a senior that CSE B.Tech got over 10,000 admissions and it is only for CSE branch. Other branches also have far too much in strength.
The security system in the campus is too strict like if we are even giving normal hugs to a female friend they can put a minor indiscipline case.
Attendance system is too much of a hyped drawback of LPU. If you have a aggregate 75 % of attendance than only you can appear in examination. It should be less and there is also marks for attendance in each subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electronic and Communication and I choosed this because I want to be a VLSI engineer but now by diving further I think my aim should be toward microchip designing. University have organised laboratory for the core subjects and industry based real life subjects also. And the labs have very well maintained equipments But the drawback is you have to be in lab for the learning. Other than your class time its difficult to be in lab. But if your professor knows you are a potential candidate He/She will allow you without any hesitation. But personally I don't think there should be a change in the teacher merhod. Faculty is eager to teach us the new stuff if the candidate is prepared to learn and grasp concepts. By all this we all think exams are going to be tough but it is very basic level and also difficult at the same time. Because you should have deeper k knowledge to be able to perform well im exam.

Inadequate Commitment to Community Involvement:Although there were various groups and associations, it appeared that the university did not push us towards community service and outreach programs that would have made our college lives more meaning

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
