LPU B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

LPU is ranked #59 by NIRF Ranking 2023 for Engineering. The University offers around 59 BTech courses including BTech in Computer Science Engineering. 

B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at LPU costs INR 1,40,000 per semester which makes around INR 11,80,000 for 4 years of BTech CSE. LPU also provides hostel facilities for boys and girls separately within the campus. Hostel at LPU has a wide range of options with standard rooms, and has all the amenities for students. 

For standard rooms, the hostel fee of LPU is INR 60,000 to INR 1,60,000 per annum. The LPU Hostel fee for apartment- styled accommodation can range from INR 1,00,000 to INR 2,10,000 per year. So the maximum fees for BTech in Computer Science Engineering at LPU along with hostel fees is INR 19,60,000 for the duration of 4 years.

In your first semester, you will get to study about 10 subjects including Basic Mathematics, Biology, Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Physics, C, etc. In your second semester, you will also get to study 10 subjects such as C++, Engineering drawing, Mechanics, Basic Mathematics, etc. And, from your second year onwards you will get to study the core subjects of Computer Science Engineering. 

The BTech CSE course from LPU is a 4 year undergraduate degree program spanning across 6 semesters. The course is divided across the semester in such a way you will learn from basics to advanced CSE. You will also learn about the practical aspect of the subject through the internships that are offered by LPU.

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for appearing in the BTech entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for the exam is candidates must pass the 12th class with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and English subject.

If your score is in this range, you’ll get admission into LPU for B.Tech CSE. However, your scholarship benefit will differ based on your LPUNEST marks/ class 12th percentile.

As per LPU’s latest admission guidelines, a student must score min. 60% aggregate marks in +2 with English, Physics and Maths to be eligible for B.Tech admissions at LPU. They must also qualify LPUNEST for admissions into B.Tech. With your 12th and LPUNEST marks, there is a decent chance of you getting admission into B.Tech CSE at LPU. 

But it will depend on the final cutoff list from LPU. The University will inform you about your chances of getting into your desired stream. The competition for B.Tech CSE is always high because of a huge number of candidates who wish to opt for this program.

I would suggest you wait for the final cutoffs.

LPU sends its CSE students for industrial training, generally at top software companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, Microsoft, ABB, ISRO, etc. Companies hire for 2-4 month industrial training program on the basis of candidate’s performance in aptitude tests and interviews. These industry projects will help students in the corporate world and help them become competitive and ready for the real world. At the end of the program, students at LPU can get certificates from the company, which will be helpful in their future jobs at top companies.

In case there are no slots available for the exam center of your choice, you can fill in an alternate center. If you are failing to get a slot option due to technical difficulties, make sure there are no discrepancies in your registration/application form. In case you find some, refill your form.
