LPU has released a partial report for its 2025 placement drive. The highest package was INR 2.5 Cr PA, and the second highest package was INR 1.03 Cr PA. Both packages were offered to Robotics & Automation students.

The average package of the top 25% was INR 10.23 LPA.
6,000+ offers were made to more than 1,700 students.
More than 2,225 recruiters participated.

Key Highlights of Student Placement at LPU:

The university prepares students for placements by introducing a value-adding subject related to communication skills, soft skills, personality development, English speaking courses, etc., in each semester.
The skill training classes are compulsory till the 6th semester.
Coding skills are taught from the 2nd year of the B.Tech CSE program.
Programming Languages are a part of the curriculum from the 1st semester itself.

In our course in bsc agriculture the placement is not that much that much good but in other courses like B.tech CSE in that courses there are the very high placements one of our senior get 2.5 CR package from LPU and one of our senior also get 3 crore package this is highest package and the average package of B.tech CSE is 5 to 10 lakh If the campus is not offering placement to me I will go for government exams or going for entrepreneurship also offers good package but not that much good the bsc agriculture sector wants needs more improve improvement in placement cell yeah that's all but if a person wants to do semester exchange also in foreign countries so over University will also provide some guidance to him and they will support the students to go for an exchange for foreign semester exchange programs and there are two many things also

Placement Experience:

The placements at LPU are decent, the University provides placements to almost every student. The placement cell here is really very active. More than 1000 companies visit LPU during placement drives providing average package of 6-7LPA in CSE field. The highest package recorded was 2.5 crore from robotics and automation and 64 LPA in CSE department. 99% of students at LPU get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to join the corporate and work as a SDE or AI/ML engineer at MNC.

Companies Visiting the campus : alpheus has a very strong placement network every year more than 900 plus companies visit the campus for recruitment some of the top recruitment includes Amazon Microsoft cognizant captain and ITCS Infosys Wipro IBM Tech Mahindra Accenture etc. Apart from these several startups and product based companies also offer intensive and pre replacement offers to students who perform well. Number of offers and Packages. In the latest Placement drive Total offers made: 9000+ across all branchesh Highesh package:-54LPA profiles offered include Software Deveeloper, data Analysr ,AI Enginner, Cloud Enginner and system Analyst roles. I am a second year B.Tech CSE student at LPU. Here is the official data for 2023 B.Tech CSE placements at the university-

The average package for B.Tech CSE/IT was INR 7 LPA in 2023.
The 2023 branch/course-wise highest package is not available, but the overall highest package was INR 54.75 LPA.
During the 2023 placements, a B.Tech CSE student received a job offer of INR 52.08 LPA from Microsoft.

Both KIIT and LPU are considered as top private universities for engineering. But I can only speak in favour of LPU as I have done my education at LPU.

I interacted with my friends at LPU who have done their BTech CSE. More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.

Tanya Arora, a final year BTech CSE student secured INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft. Amazon also offered INR 28 lakhs package. Utkarsh secured a position at Google HQ in Silicon Valley with a package of INR 1 crore.

This I hope proves my point that LPU is better for CSE than KIIT.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

I am an alumnus of LPU, but my honest opinion is based on my personal experience. LPU offers good infrastructure, faculty, academics, and placements. Though placements depend on the students’ effort and dedication, it is also a college’s responsibility to bring in good companies.

IBM, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Larsen & Toubro, DLF, Nokia Siemen, Indian Navy, HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy, Royal Bank of Scotland, Tata, Wipro, Accenture, Convergys, Reliance, Dell, Taj Hotels, Provogue, Nestle, Coca Cola, Barclays, Deloitte, etc. are some of the companies that visit the LPU campus for hiring.

Moreover, LPU is positioned 50th in the NIRF 2023 Engineering Rankings.

Based on all these reasons, and out of my own positive experience of studying at LPU, I would recommend the university for higher studies.

Lovely Professional University, Punjab:

The highest package offered by Microsoft of 42 LPA was secured by a B.TECH CSE student.
The average packages offered for MBA, BBA, B.TECH are INR 16 LPA, INR 5 LPA and INR 8 LPA respectively.
The maximum number of students are recruited by Cognizant, Tech Mahindra and Capgemini followed by Bosch, Amazon and Wipro.
Moreover, students are also trained for various skills and aptitude to maximize their placement possibilities in collaboration with various organisations.

Since Presidency University is relatively newly established, when compared to LPU, thus the alumni network and organisation connect is not that strong as of now. Faculty at both institutes are highly qualified and impart in-depth knowledge. A student with diligence can excel in any field.
