Lovely professional university- BBA PROGRAMME

Likes

LPU provides multi faceted opportunities like sports, music ,dance ,acting apart from academics. There are various Mac labs and data centres available in LPU along with 24x7 library.
The lush campus spread over 800 acres in the beautiful land of Punjab ,provides various sports ground, swimming pools, gym and food courts making it convenient for students to live there.
around 8 hostels for boys and girls each are provided in the campus itself making it easier for the students to attend classes .

Dislikes

The major thing I disliked at LPU is its extensive crowd of around 50,000 students making it very competitive for students in placement.
the average ctc of the overall student was around 8 LPA in courses like Btech
in courses like BBA very less companies came to hire for the role of business analyst or digital marketing and sales jobs were on the heavier side making it harder for students to get such domain jobs.

Internships Opportunities:

various companies conduct recruitment drives at LPU including MNCs and startups.First we start with summer internship in second year as a part of mandatory assignment. And from second year onwards we can appear for placements.I myself was placed in 4 different companies.

Likes

LPU ranks among top 50 universities in India and one of the best in Punjab.
Not just Indian students of all states but students of various other states too study in LPU Jalandhar.
Only vegetarian mess makes our university the best in India.

Dislikes

Definitely it's the ask that students have to pay various extra charges all around the year.

Ragging is completely banned in university. If any student is found in that then a disciplinary action will be taken against him and his scholarship may be cancelled for remaining year. So you feel very safe in the campus no any kind of bullies.
"Education Revolution" where you can get many benefits based upon fulfillment of criteria. The benefits includes grade upgradation, class assessment test exemption.If you have prior knowledge of any subject then it got removed from your course.

Dislikes

The number students here are in large numbers. It becomes huge problem when you have to wait for food in mess in queue .

Internships Opportunities:

My college provides good intership oppertunity for students, especially in technical courses like CSE. Many companies such as TCS , Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and other startups offer intership roles like Software Developer Intern, Web Developer Intern, Data Analyst Intern and System Engineer Intern. The stipend usually depends on the company, but it can range from ?8000 to ?25000 per month for most interships. During interships, students work on real time projects such as developing websites, creating software applications, working on data analysis, testing applications or supporting backend systems. These projects help students gain practical knowledge and improve their technical and communication skills. The outcome of these internships is very beneficial because students get industry exposure, hands-on experience and sometimes even pre-placement offers. Overall internship opportunities at my college help students prepare for real-world jobs and improve their career prospects.

One thing I really like about my college is well structured exam patterns and evaluation system is balanced and in systematic way.
Lab access : Excellent lab access provided by the college and well equipped and accessible by any schedule time
Library: College library is another strong asset. They provide textbook, reference book that really helped me during placement and exams.

Dislikes

Placement was not as expected. Most of companies that they provide are for sales role that is not helpful for btech students so this is disappointment after investing so much of money, it is kind of waste.
Size of the classroom is quite big. Apart from classroom they give admissions to so many student, there is no as such eligibility criteria.
Professors are not upto mark. They don't provide practical knowledge, basically they only focus on theory.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Hp, TCS, Accenture, opentext, Mphasis. Highest package was 24 lakh by movin sinc 40% of students get placed in my batch. I got One placement from college

Campus Life and Exposure: The campus is extremely lively, with people from various countries and states.
Industry Exposure & Opportunities: Regular workshops, guest lectures, certifications are held and organized for better preparation of the students for their placements.
Placement & Career Support: It has a centralized placement cell that brings recruiters from all over various domains, providing diverse opportunities for the students and helping and aiding them in their due course

Dislikes

Too many opportunities at Once: There are so many events, clubs being held all at once that it used to become very overwhelming initially.
Faculty Teaching Styles Vary: Different faculty members have different approaches wherein we get to be sometimes more practical oriented or sometimes completely invested in theory
Large Campus Size: The campus is huge, so moving between academic blocks and hostels can consume a bit of time.

Internships Opportunities:

- Infineon - 43000/month - Amazon - 1,10,000 / month other fintech companies too offer a similar paid internship. Internships offered vary alot in terms of roles, paychecks and even the working lifestyle of the company wherein all of this is pre informed to us.

The campus is huge and clean everything is available within the campus
There are ample of sources for food everywhere in the university itself and the taste is also very good

The vast multidisciplinary nature of the campus allows for significant networking and personal growth. Areas for improvement is due to the large student population some student may feel individual attention from faculty is limited.
The diverse ,multinational environment provide great culture exposure, with constant events, sports, and club activities.
Faculty member often have their strong academic background but experiences with their mentorship quality may vary. There is a push toward modern teaching with Reccomondation to further increase interactive.

Dislikes

Streaming administrative process reducing the focus on theoretical role learning.
The approach is increasingly digital and tech-driven yet it sometimes feels impersonal requiring more student-led mentorship
While the training of placement is comprehensive some student feel that the focus should be more tailored to niche high paying roles rather than mass recruitment.

Infrastructure is too good. Teaching style is fantastic.
Placement opportunities is one of the major reason of admissions.

Too much work they give to do . After doing all work students doesn't have time for self study.

Right now , i am in first year of my master degree so I don't receive any kind of internship yet but the companies came every year for placements companies like Google , microsoft, adobe , samsung , Capgemini , IBM , foreign companies also came for the placements. Projects is must , if you want t avail best placements then you have projects in your resume and you will be able to explain your project in detail.

The curriculum and the road map of each subject was good as it was all made on feedbacks of students
The best thing was the soft skill classes which helped me get over my stage fear and be more confident

Dislikes

The things i disliked was there was not so much attention paid to what issues students have with teachers and how they were being treadted by the teachers
The worst thing was they only prioritised money over anything

There are many companies i cant name them all but i had got placed in 4 companies myself. Therecare ample of opportunities there are companies from every type product sales or tech , and we also get prohects accordingly which prepares us nicely for these

There must have been some misunderstanding. Let me clear it up as I have studied at this college. I can vouch for the fact that LPU is one of the best universities in India. In 2023, some LPU had an overall NIRF ranking of 46 and as a university ranked 38. For the Architecture category, LPU has a nIRF ranking of 16 compared to the 50th rank for Engineering category. NIRF has given LPU 32nd rank for the Management category and 17th for the Pharmacy category. To be precise, NIRF ranking is not the only benchmark when it comes to universities ranking. LPU has significantly ranked higher for the last free years both nationally and globally from different ranking bodies. For the QS World University Ranking of 2024, LPU has ranked 301 in the Asia category.
