What is up with all these private colleges boasting 1cr+ packages.
CU, LPU, BENNET, and a few other pvt colleges are just boasting about their highest packages, in CU the guy who got the highest package is working in a gurugram based company, with less than 50 employees, and was established in 2021, I wonder how a company at that scale can give such high domestic package. in LPU, I cannot find the linkedin or any other socials of the 2.5 cr guy, looks like they also played the CU game but better. Bennet's highest package is the only real package I saw there, the guy passed out in 23 and is actually working at meta. If anyone from these colleges can help me by telling me how the placement stuff(actual) in these colleges is, would be a great help

The irony is that these students go for their MS, and these BTech colleges shamelessly flex posters as if the students bagged the offers while still in BTech.

Help me
96.9% in boards. Dropped a year for JEE Mains and failed. I have no interest in BTech tbh but can't move forward with what I have interest in due to personal reasons. So I've some plans 1) Take BTech Mechanical —> then GME / MTech or MBA from abroad/Top Indian schools 2) CSE BTech —> MBA from abroad or top Indian schools I might get Govt engineering college of Kerala for Mech or CSE in not so bad aided colleges. Or the option I've left is LPU and other private universities. On the basis of my 12 score, I'm able to get BTech in Mech at LPU for 42k/sem and CSE for 56k/sem which seems so cheap compared to any other private colleges. I'm really stuck here. What should I do? Apart from placement, I really need startup exposure and great college life

3 Years at LPU: What I Really Feel
After 3 years at LPU, I can say it truly stands out as one of the top private universities in India. It offers strong international ties, excellent infrastructure, good industry exposure, internships, and quality education. The faculty is experienced and supportive. With a vibrant campus life and strong career support, LPU provides real growth opportunities. Overall, it’s been a great experience like a full of learning, fun, and career growth.

is there any scope in ece in india to choose it over cse?
I am confused about my B.Tech branch. I am getting ECE in tier 2 colleges (good COMEDK colleges) and CSE in tier 3 colleges (VIT, SRM, LPU, etc.). My family only wanted me to do CSE, so I didn't think about other branches. But recently I heard about ECE growth, VLSI, etc., and IT jobs having layoffs and overstagnation, which made me confused. Is it a good idea if I choose ECE over CSE? Will I have a good career? (By qualifications, I am just a 12th graduate looking for a job). Also, by ECE I mean doing core ECE fields, not getting an IT job in the end.
