Is it good to take the ETC branch in VSSUT? How good are the placements in ETC in VSSUT?

Electronics, although a vast branch has limited scope in colleges like VSSUT. So, I would not recommend you to take ETC in VSSUT. You will face many problems, especially in practicals. The lab equipment is outdated hindering the practicals. Most students copy from each other and rarely do students solve a practical question on their own. The professors are also underqualified so your only saviors here are the toppers or the geeks. The grading is pathetic and some professors don’t give marks unless they know you personally. Students are required to wear formal and clean shaved faces for the next 4 years, unlike the students of other branches. The lab records will be disapproved and you will have to write it again and again. The students of this branch get back in their exams frequently. The fault is in the faculty members and yet no action is taken against them. Although I recommend you not to join this branch, you can consider talking to the seniors once before making the final decision.

How is the ETC branch in VSSUT Burla?

The ETC branch in VSSUT is not a good option at all. The curriculum is rigid and students have no option but to mug up the books prescribed by the professors. Sometimes the professors even prescribe the wrong books and students end up failing. You will have to consult your seniors regarding the books you have to follow. The teachers are least interested in teaching and you will have to depend on self-study. The professors are so arrogant that if you reach the class even a minute after the professors, they don’t let you sit in class. The laboratory equipment is old and obsolete. Hardly is there any instrument that works? Students are expected to work in such lab conditions and conduct experiments. Most of the time the teacher himself has no idea about the lab experiments. The worst part is that students have to be dressed in formal. I will suggest you reconsider your decision if you are planning to take this branch.

In first year you have to pay the two semester fees once. After that your payment will be done as per semester. First year fees was 79500 in 2023 along with seat confirmation fee 10000 . Also you have to pay 500 per semester to your department for department development. From second year Onwards the tution fee is 17500 per semester and hostel fee is 24000 per semester. This hostel fee includes the mess charges, electricity charges, water charges as well as hostel development charges. There is a tution fee wavier category for students where limited students were allowed. They will select the names according to their criteria. Many scholarship options are available like post matric, jsw udaan, e medhabruti etc. The scholarship amount may vary according to your acadamics and finalcial conditions.

Mid semester exam don't have any gaps in between

Each year fees is about 38 thousand for course fees, which we have to pay each semester, 17000 for even semester and 21000 for odd semester. There are many scholarship for SC St and also tuition fees waiver

BEST IN ODISHA AFTER IIT BBSR AND NIT RKL.

I have TFW (tuition fee waver) since admission becoz of my rank so I pay around 14k for academics and 11k for hostel on an average for every semester. Where as self sustained ppl pay 60k total each sem and non TFW pays 35k total each sem. In my opinion the college is very affordable since it's under govt. Of odisha . And talking about scholarships the college doesn't offer anything from their side you have to get it from other sources.

Glance at VSSUT

The only thing i dislike here is the short span of semesters like 3-4 months Max.

As VSSUT is a government University so the course fees is so less here compared to the private college. Here the per semester fees is 40000 which reduces to 32,000 in 3rd year. The complete cost of taking a degree from this university is between 4-5 lakhs. Scholarship are available to the students over many odisha government schemes. However I don't know much about financial aid provided by college. College also provide us internships notice and the interview and all happens at college campus.

VSSUT College Review

The course fee is 41000 per year. The hostel fee is 48000. Scholarship is also provided to students who are economically weak.Students are eligible for state government scholarships, which enables them to afford their expenses. Placements are quite decent.

Since this is a government aided college,the fees of this college is very low as per compared to other private Institutions the college fees accounts up to rupees 41000 where as the hostel fees accounts up to rupees 48000 and there are also many scholarship provided by the state government as well as the college like the post matric scholarship and

VSSUT Experience

Generally government college fees doesn't change suddenly. But this year we had a increase in the fees in both hostel and course fees. The course fees varies from year to year as you proceeds through your degrees. Also you had to pay some amount for the registration of each sem separately. Various government scholarship can be availed by the students. There is a specialised training and intership cell to provide the jobs, interships etc.
