Glance at VSSUT

Considering my course that is btech from electronics and telecommunication engineering, the syllabus is recently updated and the syllabus follows the gate syllabus fully. Also there are more additional subjects like fir example in my 6th semester a subject DIP digital image processing was there which was so interesting. So yeah the syllabus is good and competitive. The two main exams are midsem and endsems.

VSSUT provides internships or PPO to students. The email the notice to apply to any internship available and the interview process happens at college campus. Recently BSI bureau of Indian standards internships were available and it had the cgpa criteria for first selection them personal interview and it gave the stipend of 20000.

Students become eligible for placement from third year onwards. The campus provides internships and PPO pre placement offer to students who are in the pre final year . Some companies visited the campus are Deloitte, iserveu, Cisco, marquee semiconductor, jsw, vedanta, birla, Larsen and toubro limited etc. the percentage of students getting placed is 90% above. The average package here is 6-7 lpa. The highest package previous year was 40 lpa which was offer from Amazon but the student applied for it off campus it wasn't on campus placement. My plans after getting a degree are higher studies.

As VSSUT is a government University so the course fees is so less here compared to the private college. Here the per semester fees is 40000 which reduces to 32,000 in 3rd year. The complete cost of taking a degree from this university is between 4-5 lakhs. Scholarship are available to the students over many odisha government schemes. However I don't know much about financial aid provided by college. College also provide us internships notice and the interview and all happens at college campus.

The campus life is so fulfilling here. There are so many clubs and extracurricular activities for students as annual fest, annual sports etc . Some clubs run by student body and managed by faculty advisor of the club are souls and vibranz for singers and dancers, veer racers for formula one race car making and leaning, Aerotech for drones and rockets related stuff, robotics for robotics related stuff and many more. Annual fest is held once every year and annual sports is also held once every year. Classroom here are equipped with smart board.

I stay in hostel. Hostel rooms are allotted to students at the admission time only to those who are interested in staying in hostels. The per semester fees is 17000. The rooms of 3rd year girls hostel in which I am staying are so big and spacious. We have to share room with 3 others friends. The cleanliness of hostel corridors and gardens is good and regular. The hostel room is alloted to everyone who applied. The quality of food in hostels is moderate to good. However sometimes the menu or food is not good but after complaining the issue is resolved.

You can get admission into this university through Jee mains or OJee. The counselling process of ojee starts in june-july. Reservation is provided from SC, ST based on caste reservation and there are some more reservation policies here which you can read on the online website of college which include government school reservation, single girl child reservation and some more. The admission process after the counselling is easy and seamless as the in-charge helps out when you contact them about any doubts or issue.

The professors here are all mtech or PhD so no question on their capability or experience. The faculty members are friendly and helpful. However some professor are more dependent on smart board method so the class becomes less interactive. Overall the teaching and learning methods of the faculty members are excellent.
