Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very relative to our field. The first year course provides the basic knowledge about engineering. The subjects in first year are cds, bee(basic electrical engineering), maths , physics, etw(effective technical writing), bmp(basic manufacturing).
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are not upto the mark. Very few people get chance to do paid internship. Many people do research internship in iits and nits by scoring good cgpa but that doesn't help much in the resume building.
Placement Experience
The college placement is very appreciable and known all over the state. Placement packages and percentage both are very good for every branch. Students who didn't take placement plan to give gate exam for higher studies or psu.
Fees and Financial Aid
Iam from etc branch and my fee per year is 40000 approx. Since my branch is non ssc course and the fees structure is almost constant and not increasing much every year. It is quite affordable for every student. There are many scholarship options for lower income students and some are also caste based, most of them are provided by our state government of odisha
Campus Life
Overall campus is quite good. There are many clubs in the college which are a lot of fun. Annual and technical fests are also organised every year in the college like samavesh, vassaunt, ilumina which is a sport fest of the college.
Hostel Facilities
There are a lot of hostels. The first year are given pulaha hostel. The food is good but vegetarian people doesn't have much food option in menu. The pulaha c block is not well maintained broken tiles broken mirror and filthy lavatories.
Admission
This college has a quiet good campus in comparison to other colleges. There are a lot of facilities and good infrastructure. There are many hostels so there will be no problem of accomodation and hostel food is also quite good.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good and the relation between faculty and student is also good. Faculties always give their best in teaching and always try to provide proper guidance and one to one mentorship.
Interview Experience
No I did not face any personal interview or gd for admission I simply got this collage through ojee counciling and through my jee mains score in third round of counciling no personal interview I gave for admission
Night Life
There is not much of a nightlife in the college but college has its own gym, swimming pool, cafetaria etc. Some nearby good hangout places can be burla market, burla planetarium and also we have nehru minar near Hirakud dam.
