Course Curriculum Overview

The course-curriculum inour university is updating every year. there is new course also adding with requirment wise so that we will skilled proper for job so i like my college system of course curriculum.The new course like Artificial intelligence and machine learning , organisational behavior etc. are added it is very good to make us prepare to real world application.

Internships Opportunities

In our college there is for every student the internship is compulsory.From our college the internship provide the college itself is VLSI course from this 2024 year.Most of the student take internship from IBM,Infosys,Tech mahindra etc.

Placement Experience

There is from 6th semester the students are elligible to sit in placement cell. the placement ratio in our college is good . the average package of our IT department placement is about 6LPA and the highest package is about 15LPA.The companies visit in our university are like infosys,byjus,tcs etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

during the first year i have paid 89000/- as fees for my college it's include college nad hostel fees.i am non tfw student so i hav not discount on my fees. if some one is getting admission with tfw then he will get 20% discount.the fees is same for all student it's not differ in category wise.

Campus Life

The annaul and technical fest held every year in our university is SAMAVES X VASSAUNT which is very enjoying annual fest in our university. There is annual sport also held every year which is name as ILLUMINA.There is wide range of books are available in our library called central library.

Hostel Facilities

I live in agastya hostel which is very good architectured hostel. In the every room of our hostel there is 4 bed , 4 table , 4 chairs, 2 fan and 3 almira. There is 3 light in our room. But the hostel food is not so good in our agastya holl of residence. The registration process for hostel is occure during the admission process.

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

Admission

i choose this college over the another college because it is the government college and it is number one old state government college of our state odisha.i am studying here with good amount of scholarship so it is less burdening to my parents. this college provide good placement ratio than another college from our state.

Faculty

the faculty to student ratio in our department is very good. the faculties are very friendly they are approachable to understand something related to study. they are motivating us to study and develop skill. i like the most is out it hod which is very itelligent and supportive nature.

Night Life

The night life in our campus feel very cool place but near our there is kirba chowk which is very hot means here every types of hot cooked food are available . this market is open about till 10 pm. In our university there is have a gym house but collegewalla are not openning that gym house it little dissapointed thing i don not like.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

University of technology, VSSUT Burla because it is one of the top government engineering colleges in Odisha with a strong academic reputation and affordable fee structure. I also applied to other colleges like silicon Institute of technology technology, but I preferred SSUT for its better placement record, experience, faculty and alumni network. The environment here is more research and project oriented which helps in overall technical growth, admission process is through OJE counselling based on JEE Mains cut-off varies every year, depending on the category branch with (CSE) electrical. Being the most competitive the entire process is transparent and conducted online didn't face any issue during admission as the document verification. All about The Number One State Government College Of Odisha The VSSUT,Burla

Actually i applied this vssut,burla as my first priority because this is the top and number one engineering state government college in odisha as compared to another collage i applied for and also this college is famous for mechanical engineering as i also applied .So i wanted to get admission to this college and finally the admission also confirmed and i am very happy. No i can not get rejection from other collage as this is the no one state government college where i here. Another college i applied are poor in placement and those are not good in their campous curriculum as i heard so my college is best. The admission process of our college is at first we took perticipated in the ojee counselling process where we gave 5000/- then after the selection happened to this collage this college noticed intimation letter to very one and noticed us to pay the admission fee online. My VSSUT Experience

I have applied to OUTR, Bhubaneswar, IGIT, Sarang, and VSSUT, Burla. I got a confirmed admission from all three colleges but I chose VSSUT because it has an NIRF ranking of 151. Also, it has so many technical and cultural clubs from which I can enhance my skills as well as gain experience while working on many projects. No, I didn't get any rejection from another college. You can get admission to VSSUT through JEE or OJEE exam. You must secure 60% in your intermediate. The cut-off for different branches will be different.
