Remarks

The admission process involves some steps in my time it was offline mode and now it's being through online mode. You have to appear in entrance exams like Ojee and Jee. You should secure 55 percent aggregate in intermediate. A counseling process will be done and document verification too. There is a reservation for the rank holder in the entrance exam to study free of cost.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Faculty members are in many numbers that everybody of the students gets chance to clear their doubt. All teachers were standard teachers and they are friendly in teaching. Exams are held weekly and monthly too and semester basis. Exams were quite strict.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships were there for the better experience of students. A small amount of stipend was also provided for that. We have carried out a mechanical project and got a good opportunity to show our talent. We had gone to Gujrat for an internship.

Placement Experience

5

Our college comes under the top list in campus drive. This is the oldest college and placements were in huge number. The companies provide the best package and those companies were approved and MNC. The companies were MAHINDRA, IBM, TCS, INFOSYS, etc, 60 percent of the student's among us were recruited

Fees and Financial Aid

College set fewer fees so that all class students could study without any trouble. The fees structure was 65000 per year and maybe it raised by some amount now. College provides all the scholarship facility to merit students like e medhabruti, Prerna, etc.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus was located in a wild area away from the town. But college provides all the facilities like a digital classroom, playground, canteen everything. A big library is also there for the betterment study of students' progress. The college conducts an annual fest every year and it was the most enjoyable time of all. All social activities are organized by the college for the society.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
