Remarks

Yes in our college senior junior transporation is complately different and tere was no ragging process as per management.

Entrance Preview

JEE, rank came between 1000, i got the seat in that college which course I was looking on that time and that college environment was good and it came under one of the top college in my state.

Course Curriculum Overview

I took E&Tc as my trade and I scored highest in my through out career. Aprt from that I done computer courses like java, c, c++, data structure, RDBMS, math and OE., ENg.

Internships Opportunities

Our dim has more that 30yrs expr and minimum stipend was 25k p.m most of staffs are experienced guys who have min 10yrs of experience in there subjects.

Placement Experience

Yes placement was very good now a days and scoring of students upto 98% now a days in all semesters. They are providing all the opportunities to all students depends upon there area of expertises.

College Events

Annual days, Freshers welcome parth, Seniors farewell party.Yes In all cyultural programme chief guest is very popoular one of paryt our state chief minister came.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes fees is very fesiable as compalr to other colleges.Peoples who r coming under good rank they ll pay normal fees per year and management seats are little costly as complare to free seats.

Yes I got scholarship in my college as I was topper of last two sems and those peple belongs to army family and they scored minimum 70% in each sem without backlog college provided some scholarship to them.

Campus life for me is very nice as I got through placement in first time and hostel was very nice most of our seniors arranged party as well as picnic so student life was very good.

Yes hostel was very nice, wifi available as well as security and meals stayem walso quiet good as compare to other and hostel location is very nice its inside the city.

All seniors are very good and cooperative they are not going back to help both professional and personal life prbms of us and most of the guys are very entertrainer.

Exam Structure

Every semester has 3 internal exam and one final exam so total 8 semester and 24 internal exam and exam was very tough to clear.

Faculty

Yes faculty was very good and cooperative and they are not going back to take extra class for clarifie doubts. They are very encouraged to us to choose our right path in our career as well as very friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

The admission process involves some steps in my time it was offline mode and now it's being through online mode. You have to appear in entrance exams like Ojee and Jee. You should secure 55 percent aggregate in intermediate. A counseling process will be done and document verification too.
