The OJEE 2026 Exam has begun today, Monday, May 4, 2026, and will end on May 10, 2026.
The entrance test will be conducted in 3 shifts: Shift 1: Morning Session from 9 am to 11 am; Shift 2: Afternoon Session from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm; and Shift 3: Evening Session from 4: 30 pm to 6:30 pm.
- The exam will be conducted in Computer-based Test (CBT) Mode and will be officially live across all 93 centres in Odisha and 6 centres outside the state.
- Through OJEE 2026, you can take admission to various courses like B.Pharm, MBS, MCA, M.Plan, M.Tech, Nursing, and various lateral entry programs.
- For B.Tech, B.Arch, or MBBS seats, candidates need to qualify the JEE Main 2026 or NEET UG 2026.
The result is expected to be in the first week of June, and the counselling process is expected to begin in July. On May 4 (Day 1), two OJEE sessions have been conducted smoothly so far.
- Shift 1 (9 am to 11 am) – Students reported that the paper's overall difficulty was moderate. Physics had some tricky numericals, but was manageable, while Chemistry and Biology were easy to moderate and score. English was very easy.
- Shift 2 (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) – The paper was slightly tougher than Shift 1. Physics required more time due to application-based questions, Chemistry and Biology remained scoring, and English continued to be straightforward.
- Shift 3 (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm) – The paper was moderate and largely similar to Shift 1 and Shift 2. Physics had some application-based and calculation-oriented questions that took more time for many students, while Chemistry and Biology remained scoring with NCERT-level concepts. English and Nursing Aptitude continued to be straightforward to attempt.
The OJEE May 5 (Day 2) exam was done efficiently.
- Shift 1 (9 am to 11 am) – The paper was moderate with a high focus on foundational concepts. Physics was reported as the most challenging section due to a high volume of numerical questions, while Chemistry and Biology were scoring closely and followed the NCERT syllabus. English and Nursing Aptitude were straightforward, allowing students to save time for the science section.
- Shift 2 (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) – The paper was moderately tough, particularly regarding time management. Physics featured more application-based problems than the morning session, while Chemistry had a notable emphasis on organic reaction mechanisms. Biology, English, and Nursing Aptitude remained easy to attempt, providing a balanced experience for most candidates.
English and Nursing Aptitude continued to be easy to attempt.
The OJEE May 6 (Day 3) exams were conducted smoothly.
- Shift 1 (9 am to 11 am) – Moderate difficulty. Physics: moderate with numericals & applications; Chemistry: balanced & scoring; Biology/Maths: moderate to easy (Biology easier for PCB). Students said the NCERT is aligned with Physics and requires time management.
- Shift 2 (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) – Moderate, similar to Shift 1. Physics is slightly more application-oriented & calculative, Chemistry scoring, Biology/Maths moderate. Good overall feedback with strong performance possible in Chemistry + Biology/Maths.
- Shift 3 (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm) – Moderate difficulty. Balanced paper with Physics mix of theory & numericals, Chemistry student-friendly, Biology/Maths direct & scoring. Similar to earlier shifts, time management in Physics was key.
The OJEE May 7 (Day 4) exams were also concluded efficiently.
- Shift 1 (9 am to 11 am) – Overall moderate difficulty. Students found the paper balanced and manageable. Quantitative and Verbal sections were scored for well-prepared candidates, while some reported Logical Reasoning and GA as straightforward. Time management was key.
- Shift 2 (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) – Moderate to tough overall. Many students described it as lengthy. Quantitative Techniques moderate (calculation-heavy); Logical Reasoning easy to moderate; Verbal moderate to difficult (RC-focused); General Awareness easy. Good attempts around 85–100.
- Shift 3 (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm) – Easy to moderate (as per final shift feedback). Similar pattern to Shift 2, but felt slightly easier for most. Students reported better scoring opportunities in the Reasoning and GA sections. The paper was considered fair with no major surprises.
Further updates regarding student reactions and shift-wise analysis will be shared shortly.
