VSSUT Burla PhD Admission 2026 Begins; Apply By December 31 @vssut.ac.in

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, has begun applications process for its PhD. Program (Spring 2026 Session). The online application process has started and will continue until 31 December 2025.

Candidates from various disciplines can now apply through the university’s official admission portal. The last date for submission of the printed application form along with documents is 3 January 2026, 5 PM.

The VSSUT offers PhD admission across multiple departments, including Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences (Economics), Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, Physics, and Production Engineering.

VSSUT PhD programs application Fee for General / OBC candidates is ₹500 (non-refundable) and for SC / ST candidates is ₹200 (non-refundable). Payment must be completed online during the application process.

VSSUT PhD Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Master’s degree (M.Tech / M.Sc / M.Phil or equivalent) in the relevant discipline. Those who have appeared for their final PG examination may also apply, but they must submit: An appeared certificate from the Head of Institution (original), Grade sheets of all completed semesters authenticated by the institution, and valid GATE / NET scores may be required where applicable. Reservation for SC / ST / PwD candidates will be provided as per UGC and Government norms.

VSSUT PhD Admission 2026 Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic records and eligibility. The final selection will include:

• Department-level evaluation, based on research interest and specialisation.
• An interview, where the candidate’s research proposal and academic background will be assessed.
• Allocation of supervisors will be done formally by the Departmental Academic Committee (DAC) based on: the number of available supervisors.
• Research specialization.
• Candidate’s area of interest.
• Students do not get to choose individual supervisors; allocation is strictly based on department recommendations.

1. Visit the official VSSUT admission portal: https://eadmission.vssut.ac.in

2. Fill out the online application form with accurate details.

3. Pay the required application fee online.

4. Download and print the filled-in application form.

5. Attach all the required self-attested documents, including:

• Certificates and mark sheets of 10th, +2, B.Tech/Equivalent, M.Tech/M.Sc/M.Phil
• Valid GATE/NET score (if applicable)
• SC/ST certificate (if applicable)
• One-page research proposal

6. Send the complete application packet via Speed Post / Registered Post to:

7. Ensure the envelope is clearly superscribed:

“Application for Ph.D Programme SPRING 2026” and Name of Program (Specialisation).

8. The completed application must reach the university by 03 January 2026 at 5 PM.
