SC & ST students have no college fee. They need to pay only hostel and mess fee.During my period it is 36500 per semester.where as students from OC,EWS etc and other commitments have to pay both college and hostel, mess fee.It is around 62500 per semester.Meritorious students and students from SC/ST and other communities used to get scholarships too based on few parameters considering their family income and some other rules.Fee might increase or decrease yearly considering various factors.

Iam doing btech in ece branch , where for each semester the academics fee will be some where around 75k, and other than that mess fee is different which is 33k for each semester. And iam from obc and have income certificate with annual income of 11lpa+ , so i won't get any fee remissions and no scholarships also, where many people get almost 100% fee remission and extra scholarships. For people having income certificate with less than 2lpa , they will not be charged with any academic fee, that means only 30k for mess for each semester will be charged. For sc and st people they don't care about income certificate, directly they clear your academic fees.

Tution fee is Rs. 62500 per semester which is very less compared to private engineering colleges. Not only the course, but working under technical and non technical clubs helps us gain experience and also teaches real life values like team management, work-life balance etc., Various scholarships are provided throughout the course.

At NITK, the fee structure 3 lac. Despite the availability of scholarships and financial aid, some students, like myself, have not availed any assistance. Scholarships are typically based on merit, financial need, or specific criteria. campus employment opportunities exist for students to earn while studying.

The annual fees for non-reservation candidates is 2,15,270 and for SC/ST students it is 90,270. A student can apply for many scholarships if he is eligible for them then he can apply for many scholarships and for students who are economically weak NITK provides financial assistance. And apart from worl-study programs it offers other employment offers like internships and campus placements.

Scholarship I applied is NSP and SSP , Vidyadhan and so on nsp is around 1 lack . campus employment is not applied because no body is goting to that field everyone is preparing for an it company and preparing for jobs and so nobady is prepared for campus employment so everyone is focused on emoyment on engineering.

There is not a lot of change in the tuition fee around 60000 per sem and the mess food is around 40000 . The mess is very clean and hygiene they provide the best quality food that concentrates on providing all the nutrients required for a balanced diet. NITK provides scholarship to all the students whose income is less and socially backward. PHD students get a stipend of around 10k to work on their topic of interest. They also provide lot of events so that one can participate and win lot of prizes so that they can win lot of prizes. This helps to improved their social, techical, communicative skills.

For one year, the fees including hostel fee and mess fee is around 2lakhs. Their will be compensations for those whose income is low. Based on income their are three sub categories 1) more than 8l :need to pay the total fee 2)less than 5l:need to pay 2/3 of total fee 3)less than 1l:need to pay 1/3 of total fee. Based on reservations even fee gets reduced. Their are many scholarships to support economically weaker sections. For girls, even their are special scholarships. You can even earn the money by participating in competitions.if we win the competition the prizemoney will be around 10k and many competitions will be held. All you need to do is showcase your talent

I have a friend who studies in the ECE branch at NIT Warangal. I will break down his overall experience into simpler aspects
Academics: The curriculum and academic life at NIT Warangal for ECE students is a bit more challenging than others. Some semesters have too many courses and it’s difficult to get free time. The grades are given a lot of importance and students face tough competition. Also, the faculty is not very approachable.

NIT Warangal ECE is a great choice in terms of job and academic opportunities. So try to maintain a good GP to avail the maximum benefits.
Among these two courses and colleges, you should probably choose EEE at NITK. Having to know some people studying in both these institutes, I can say that the infrastructure and facilities provided at NIT Goa are very poor, it is also below NITK in terms of rankings.
Categories | EEE at NIT Surathkal |
Course Fee | 5.40 lakh |
Highest CTC | 14-15 LPA |
Average CTC | 8-9 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, nVidia, Western Digital, etc. |
Hence, choosing EEE at NITK will be a better option as the faculty, infrastructure, and placements of this college is great and there is also a very good scope of higher studies.
I have a few friends at NIT Surathkal and based on the conversation I had with them, I will say at NIT Surathkal, ECE is considered to be the toughest branch.
But the scenario at the EEE department of NIT Surathkal is slightly different and its biggest advantage is that it has a relaxed attendance policy, unlike other branches.
The recent placement statistics for the branches are as follows.

As your choice of course is different, it’s hard to select between IIT Bhubaneswar and NIT Surathkal.
According to the NIRF 2019, IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked at 26, which is a good rank considering it’s a new IIT. The Mechanical Engineering department is quite good at IIT Bhubaneswar. According to the 2019 placement record, 83% students got job offers from Mechanical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. Many famous companies such as Amazon, H Jindal Stainless Ltd, KEC International, KIIT, Rao Edusolutions, TATA steel, TATA Advance System, Thermax, TETCOS, TESCO, UHG, and other companies as well recruited students last year.
NIT Surathkal is a well-reputed name in Indian Engineering institutions. According to NIRF Ranking, it ranks at 22 nationally among engineering institutes in India. ECE in this NIT is even better as compared to a few IITs. The placement records of 2018-19 show that 97% of placement offers were received by students in this department. The average placement offer was 12-13 LPA.
Both IIT Bhubaneswar for Mechanical and NIT Surathkal for ECE are good choices with their own advantages. So, choose wisely according to your convenience.
BITS is the better choice among all as CSE has more scope than ECE. And NIT Surathkal is an old institute with a better placement record than IIT Bhubaneswar.
Since BITS Hyderabad is the newest among all other campuses and it certainly is a little behind in terms of faculty, infrastructure, etc. But when compared on a national level it is on par with any other institute. It provides the students with a prime location to look for internships and also provides an edge to them if they are opting for off-campus placements. Although the institute provides students with decent opportunities for on-campus placements also. Around 200 companies visit the campus each year and around 94% of the student secured a job through campus placements with an average package of around 5-6 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was as high as 14 lakhs per annum.
NIT Surathkal is among the top NITs of this country. The placements of students of this branch are also good although NIT Trichy and Warangal have better placement records. The average placement package offered at this NIT is around 14.15 LPA and 100% placement was observed for B.Tech batches in last year’s placement drive.
ECE is one of the new branches that started at IIT Bhubaneswar starting from 2016. Hence the first batch of students will graduate in 2020. In 2019, the average CTC offered in this IIT was 11.44 LPA. Many core companies, software companies, PSU’s, etc. hire electrical engineers from IIT Bhubaneswar hence one can assume the same trend to be followed for electronics and communication engineering also but the result is yet to be seen.
NIT Surathkal CSE will be a better option. It offers better academics and placements. NIT K placements are excellent for CSE. Students of the branch get an average CTC of around INR 15-16 LPA. While the highest CTC goes up to INR 45 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, and D.E. Shaw & Co. are among the major recruiters of the branch.
